Stillwater 13,947
After my Summer holiday it was time to go on with flight simulation. The route took me north from River bend, Washington state: ... then reaching the Columbia River at a short airstrip called "Schmidt": Following the river north to Waneta Dam... ... and the city of Trail, with the Red Mountain Ski area to the west: The next city up the river is Castlegar, which took its name from Castlegar, Galway county in Ireland, the ancestral home of townsite founder Edward Mahon. Maybe we can visit the Galway sister shortly, when ORBX is completing the European Island states? Details over details here: Keenlyside Dam... ...the Fauquier Ferry: ... after which I headed east over the Devils Range: Fantastic details to enjoy flying here! Hard to spot: the bushfire lookout points and huts over here - thanks to the scenery designers who made all these details, it is fantastic to discover it! This one is called Lemon Lookout: Kaslo, on the west shore of Kootenay Lake: Buchanan Lookout: Another view of the Selkirk Mountains ( check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selkirk_Mountains ): Tied down in Nakusp. A fantastic area to discover!
