Following the Columbia River - Part 1

Recommended Posts

I decided to do a little anventure and follow the Columbia River from its source near Fairmont Hot Springs in BC to its mouth near Astoria, Oregon.

The 1st part took me from Fairmont Hot Springs to Revelstoke with a short break at Golden.

And what's the perfect plane for an adventure? A dirty and used looking An-2.

Pure magic,

These  panoramic shots and vistas are just fantastic, especially with the AN-2 in the middle of it all, it almost takes you back to a time when that was the only way to get around, you have captured the mood perfectly.

Give me a wave when you pass Richland WA ;)

I'll do that.  ::)  Richland/Tri-Cities is one of my planned stopovers.

Super set Karsten.

Excellent colourful pics showing the scenery so well.

Top choice of aeroplane too.

I did this trip, pre forum days, last year in Ant's Eaglet. We are all in for a great series of shots of the Colombia River and it's changing scenery.

2000km of river is going to take masses of v hits, which I will enjoy seeing, keep em coming.
