Hi all

Just pottering about the skies over Devon in the new England scenery and I wanted to tune into the Flight Information Region frequency. It appears FSX doesn't allow this. Am I doing something wrong or does FSX not allow this amount of detail for comms?

Thanks very much

Dave

If FIR is anything like ATIS, don't you need to be on the ground?

You don't have to be on the groung to tune into ATIS but Bruce. You tune in on your way into an airport before you get to the boundary as well as before taxi (or start up as the case may be)

Could you be a little clearer about what you mean by "FIR frequency".

The UK FIR is a flight information region, the area in which the UK is responsible for providing ATC services and due to its make up of hundreds of different ATC positions it doesn't just have one specific frequency.
