jandrace 0
John Waine Jan 6, 2021, 3:08 AM GMT+11 I recently purchased FSX Alderney. After Orbx Central had loaded the software, Alderney did not appear in FSX. I checked scenery.cfg and there was no entry. I had a look on the forum and there were references to a .cfg file in the scripts directory. I do not have this file, instead I have a .xml file. Which is the correct file to have? I have since uninstalled and reinstalled Alderney and Central a couple of times and all seems to be OK now (FTX_AA_EGJA now appears in scenery.cfg), but I still do not have a .cfg file in scripts. Please explain if the .cfg file is needed or not. John Waine Purchase ID: 5fedf584ed49e)
Nick Cooper 6,944
Hello John, welcome to the forums. The "xml" file is the product control panel, accessed in Orbx Central. Newer products do not need a .cfg file in scripts. Instead, you have an FSX\ORBX\Config\egja-config.json file.
jandrace 0
Nick, Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have got an egja-config.json file and understand that .cfg file is no longer necessary. John
