Stillwater 13,948
Georgaphically, indeed. This flight goes from Santiago de Chile... ... over the cloud-covered Andes... ... and huge volcanos, like Monte San Valentin... ... to the Cerro Torre region. Frank Dainese has done some valuable work on the scenery here, when you look towards the Atlantic. The passengers on the right see see the Pacific instead. Descending over las Torres del Paine (hidden under clouds just under the left engine) ... ... and the metropolis of Puerto Natales (it even has a runway!) ... ... into Punta Arenas. Manual, and in lovely visibility. But successful.

Captain Lars 3,475
Beautiful shots. The region around Santiago never gets old! And it's very rewarding to land in inclement weather conditions.

We rarely see reports from there, so I think it needs to be done again! On 7/19/2020 at 3:07 AM, adambar said: Nice ones Gerold. Thanks Adam. You are right Lars: Landing after flying through clouds and rain is rewarding. In this case the approach couln´t even get instrument support, I just had to follow the Po-ATC/X guidance.
