With a few jerry cans in the boot and a strong tailwind, you should be ok for Hokkaido.

I wish - this time of year ain't no such thing as a westbound tailwind - maybe north side of a humungous typhoon :)

Better take your tool box too then, as if you catch that typhoon you will have to put your plane back together as all the bits blow in!:blink:

On reviewing the situation anything beyond 5 miles offshore is idiocy and we already have plenty of that.
