Let me take you onwards on Stuart Highway just from the point we reached yesterday: The Henbury crossroads.

That´s how it looks in the sim, coming from the sand track under the plane and then following the paved one, northbound.

Just 54 km from here a good stop is Stuarts Well Roadhouse.

Should be here.

We all feel instantly welcomed by the menu.

You are not taking my order, are you?

You don´t either, I am sure.

Here we should have found the good one; 5 soups of the day, please!

Be careful, if you do not follow the rules here...

... you might be taken to the nearby correction center.

Luckily there is no runway, so we can go on, passing Pine Gap Tracking station...

... descending over the MacDonnell Ranges, ...

... along the old Alice Springs airport, ...

... into YBAS. Since AU V2 I have this blurry runway, together with some misplaced runway lights.

Parked at the correct lot.

You usual excellent mix of Sim and RL images.:)

Thank you Martyn. When I ordered my drink I also could not resist to leave my compliments for the good sense of humour at this place. Really nice.

Fantastic tour Gerold!  Is that snake poisonous?  And $9 for a coffee and muffin!?!  Good grief!  And that bathroom sign, all I could think was, someone must have done all that to require a sign like this.

The snake is a Python Jack, non-poisonous but has a very nasty bite.:o

AU$9 for a coffee and muffin is cheap compared to Hawaii!B)

I could tell you some stories of peoples dubious habits from where I first worked when I came to Australia.:-

The scientific part was already answerred best by Martyn. I expect he has seen these creepers in his garden already...

The proce appears normal, given the limited logistics, no competition and thirsty travellers around. The soup was 7$ per can.

I have seen some of these habits all over the world, so I did not wonder but just praise the good sense of humour at the roadhouse.

Thank you Patrick. The comments here show the value of our forum. A group that loves flying and laughing, what else do you need?

Thank you TT. Aussie humour, dry as the desert and hot like a bushfire.
