AUS v2 - YCNK - Cessnock airport

Recommended Posts

Hi

My very first fly in this area and I loved it. All the surrounding terrain is wonderful though the contrast of some bright green against the opaque one is not that nice, the flight was very pleasant!

The terrain is so diverse

Just a couple of shots of Cessnock with the AUv2 update for YCNK applied.

Excellent Graham

Thank you very much, very kind

I bought all of Australia to be ready for V2 so I'll continue testing them all and advising if something looks strange

Very best!

Carlos

Hi Jack

Actually there has been an announcement (Ridvan remind me of that) in which Orbx states that Australia airports need an update so I was just testing them (as I bought them all) to see which ones could have anomalies and advise

Helping somehow

or 2 cents in English :D

Nice collection of shots Carlos.

I've actually been on a R44 chopper flight, with my wife, in February this year, basically following the circuit you took.

I have to say that AU2 and Cessnock is a great representation of the real world. The Hunter Valley is quite diverse with vineyards separated by bush. Some cattle up there as well. Hence the bush separated by square green paddocks.

By the way, We landed at Petersons near the end of the strip for lunch: https://www.petersonhouse.com.au/

Last year, we have also stayed at the Crown Plaza featured in your last shot; https://www.crowneplazahuntervalley.com.au/

You might like to watch this video. It has a nice flight from Pelican, over the range to Cessnock and shows how good Orbx has represented the real world.

Cheers,

Aussie

Very nice video around my home turf.

We really need to update Lake Macquarie airport to incorporate the Westpac Rescue base. I've painted their AW139, I just need somewhere to place it.

As for Cessnock, I spent the best part of two days repositioning the grape vines, all 1,042 of them, to fit the new terrain in AUv2. I hope someone notices.

Hi David

Thank you for you comment, I'm glad you liked the pictures and remind you of your fantastic trip.

This scenery is really scenic, I enjoyed it a lot mainly because it was the first time flying it, so the effect is always better the first time

Thank you for the links, this Pearsons restaurant looks amazing as well as the Crown Plaza :)

I think we all should be able to pay a visit to Australia at least once in life. The country looks fantastic

I saw the video and could spot lots of elements included in Orbx sceneries which pleased me a lot and as you said "it shows how good Orbx has represented the real world" so well.

It was a really nice ride you did with your wife for your birthday, so thank you for sharing it. Being February I bet your Aquarius  :D

Thank you very much, I appreciate it

Cheers

 Wow, that's devotion

I do appreciate it and thank you.

I'll be remembering that when flying

You know, this is interesting to know, it gives added value to the products. Some times we, the customers complain mercilessly about a product but knowing things like this gives a whole different perspective and produces a different feeling, some sort of caring and being grateful.

So thank you in advance for your hard work to make our flights more realistic and enjoyable.

Cheers

Carlos
