I find myself using Aerofly2 more and more for a few simple reasons.  Firstly, the fluid movement of this simulator is excellent and very immersive.  It is simply a joy to fly this platform with +110 fps.  The smoothness adds to the feeling of flight, regardless if you are in Amsterdam or the desserts of Utah.  Secondly the photo scenery is exceptionally crisp and detailed.  The scenery makes practicing approaches into unfamiliar airports on the computer a great rehearsal before I attempt the real thing in my real airplane.  Yes I would like to see improvements, like the refinements in aircraft systems and real weather.  I can only hope third party developers like A2A create content for this superb simulator.  I am confident scenery will expand with Orbx throwing it's hat into the ring.

I just finished a flight from San Luis Obispo to Catalina Island, than on to LAX.  What great views, what great platform performance!  Looking forward to further development of this simulator.

I am curious to see how AFS2 will perform once it has dynamic weather, AI aircraft/cars/boats, people flow, seasons, ATC, and aircraft with complex systems.

Those smooth frame rates are certainly helped by the fact that AFS2 doesn't currently do some things that other sims do.

I'm very glad that Orbx is developing scenery for AFS2.  :)  It looks fantastic!

I agree Matt. All the versions of flight sims I have had have worked like a dream but gradually deteriorated over time as more addons were installed. Currently AF2 consists of HD quality DLC photo scenery covering a few regions, and with some heavily detailed autogen buildings in TE Netherlands. Not really a lot to contend with at the moment. I am thoroughly enjoying it because of it's fluidity but i think we all acknowledge that it is yet to be tested to the same degree as P3D or  even XP11 which has lousy ai traffic. Regarding FPS, it may be my ageing eyes but I honestly see no difference in a non stuttering 30fps or a non stuttering 240fps, as long as it is fluid the fps is irrelevant.

Not to forget water reflections. Without it, it feels a bit dead for me.

Hi Matt, I don't think we will see anytime soon as to moving water or reflection. ATC yes, moving traffic I don't know. I think that weather is on their mind.

Honestly I only really miss a good weather engine, for the rest I can live with it.

Also, with this sim I am pretty sure that to keep high FPS we could un-click stuff that would be killing it's smoothness.

I have been exploring the Netherland since it came out :)
