What ever happened to lamp posts?

Recommended Posts

I'm not 100% up to date with scenery development in P3dV4 but what ever happened to the lamp posts of old?  even fs9 has them. buzzing the streets just isn't the same anymore -_-.

...flying down a road, 6 feet off the deck between lamp posts. i miss it.

how hard would it be to add them? or is the performance hit too great?

It was the right choice both for performance and the fact that without high levels of AA, they always shimmered badly.

And to add to what Nick and Glenn said, they have been removed already a long, long time ago.

It matters. Your remark is relevant. The poles were there. The fact that you mention it in this forum makes other people of the community aware of something that they may have missed: case and point me.

Cheers

It's strange, I was just thinking about this while flying over an Orbx scenery and making an internal joke with myself about floating magical balls. I wonder how X Plane manages to get away with still having zillions of light poles?

Have you tried turning crash detection off?

Or flying at a proper altitude would also help! B)
