The cheapest simulator motion platform I know of is the Next Level Racing Motion Platform v3, which costs 2,500 GBP: https://www.pagnian.co.uk/racing-simulator-cockpit/next-level-racing-motion-platform-for-gtultimate-v3.html The one in the original post is no doubt a bit more expensive than that... flyingleaf 10,002
Wow that's awesome. I would have to do some serious "groveling" to "She who must be obeyed".
CrownCityMisfit 88
I was just playing Dirt4 today, coincidentally. Awesome hardware. I could save maybe 4K toward something like this, but I'm guessing it's gonna be more like 10+. Also, should go with the new Samsung 49" ultrawide instead of screens with bezels. Wallet says no. Pete H 72
I'm most interested in this one - designed for VR, meaning there's no need to mount heavy screens to the platform, it has a much wider range of motion than most platforms, which is good for flight sims. http://www.feelthree.com/
aero-3fsx 184
The Feel Three is now on my radar for getting This has great potential with so much versatility And you can buy it in stages if you can't afford everything at the start
tennyson 297
....and then, after spending 10-20k on a 3 phase motion platform and another 5k to put 3 phase power on, you realise that in a sim, 70% of your movement perception comes from your visual senses. So, spending 5k on 3 beautiful high def short throw projectors and a 200degree wrap around screen yields better results and you can go down the pub with the boys for the next three years and buy them all drinks with the 15k you saved! One of the reasons I did not get the Virtuix Omni or equivalent apart from it only being available in the US My Oculus Rift totally revolutionised my flight sim experience and every cent of the cost was worth it Its now $200 cheaper than when it was released if you include the Touch controllers You don't appear to be too far from Brisbane to buy in a shop but online shopping easier

Or you could maybe also consider getting an even more realistic flying experience by taking flying lessons and spending your money on a private pilot's license instead... Aussie123 256
A bit tight but it seems you can fit a full motion 737 sim in your bedroom if you have the spare change: https://prosim-ar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11110&p=81101&hilit=motion+simulator#p81052
