Will Orbx products work if P3D goes DX12 / 64-bit?

Recommended Posts

Yes they will, but we will need to update objectflow.dll when the final release version of P3Dv4 is available so some airports will not function correctly until this DLL can be updated.

FTX Central v3.1 has already been updated to cater for P3D v4.x

I think that this is the news we have all been expecting JV. Nice to see it in print from you. Much appreciated.

Maybe consider pinning this statement so all concerned have a definitive answer and avoid more conjecture?

It's an off-the-record statement and nothing is final until P3Dv4 is released because anything is subject to change. There is an embargo by LM on any public comments on P3Dv4 during beta which is completely understandable.

No you won't. If any program uses DX12 (and not many do to be honest, it's a very inefficient API) it will always still include DX10 and DX11 backward compatibility otherwise it won't be supported under windows 7/8/10 properly.
