Sascha Normann 173
We're currently finalizing our list of POIs (on other words: VFR models) for FTX Germany South. To make sure we are not missing anything essential here: Which POIs would you like to see in FTX Germany South? (coverage map attached) Conditions: Please understand that suggesting a POI here does not mean it gets included. However your suggestions will help us to get a balanced set of POIs. POIs suggested should be less than 100m/300ft in height (from ground). Why? Because we already have everything of 100+ meters listed. Please only suggest POIs that stand out when seen from the air. POIs that need to be there to make a place recognizable. Provide coordinates, please! You can add them to your post or (even better) attach a Google Earth KMZ file to your post. Deadline for your suggestions: Monday, 26th of September (which essentially leaves us the whole weekend) Thank you! GES.kmz

Stillwater 13,950
The tallest church in the world can´t be omitted...: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulm_Minster . It took only about 500 years to build it, I have hopes Orbx could be faster. Though Frankfurt can be very FPS-demanding (lots of AI traffic plus a huge airport), some details of the city would enhance the (usual) approaches from the east:

dkeuser 0
Some decent coverage of the Koblenz area would be wonderful as the Mosel and Rhine valley are very popular among VFR pilots, e.g. Deutsches Eck, Festung Ehrenbreitstein, maybe a good selection of the castles and churches along Rhine, Mosel amd Lahn valley like Marksburg, Burg Eltz, Cochem Reichsburg, Nassau castle, Limburg cathedral etc. Winningen airport near Koblenz ist quite scenic being located on top of steep vinyards - for VFR pilots it would be important to have the radio tower and the A61 brige across the Mosel valley modelled as these define the aerodrome traffic circuit. Maybe you can also add the geysir in Andernach. Around Koblenz.kmz

DeeJay 58
Something from the southwest: - Ford Factory ( Fordwerke.kmz ) + the supplier park in Saarlouis and the nearby steel works ( Dillinger_Huette.kmz ) in the city of Dillingen. Very recognizable industrial park seen from the air. Should look similar to some places in the "Ruhrgebiet" included in Germany North: http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wfus.de%2Fimages%2Fgemeinde%2FDillinger.Huette_700_aus_2011.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wfus.de%2Fcgi-bin%2Fgsearch.cgi%3Faction%3Dwsearch%26ort%3DDillingen&h=465&w=700&tbnid=Hf82EN9BXN-pcM%3A&docid=1P-CPLkJuctXAM&ei=yNPnV7PDBMmS6QS6j5fADA&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=1871&page=0&start=0&ndsp=30&ved=0ahUKEwizx5660qrPAhVJSZoKHbrHBcgQMwg7KAgwCA&bih=963&biw=1920 I think the "Berghalden" which are so typical for any (historic) coal are should already be included as most of them are higher than 100m and should even be included in the mesh as "mountains". - 2 similar POIs: 1. The historical steel works in Völklingen ( Weltkulturerbe_Voelklingen.kmz ) which is now declared world cultural heritage and thus beautifully illuminated at night: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/9zDEWtN8KmPQKs2rR6uNRsTjKgqatutr4vlMES2A2cg-VdfkJwm0veDtY8TeqVIhLVX013XZ=s660-fcrop64=1,0330025ee3affda0 2. Same thing in nearby city of Neunlirchen ( Alte_Huette_Neunkirchen.kmz ) - I don't know how far the coverage area expands to France, but for the case it's really covered, the "Hohe Koenigsburg.kmz" at the eastern edge of the French "Vosges" near the border to Germany (Oberrheingraben): Regards, Dominik
