Now here´s the tour with the big sister

Recommended Posts

After practicing with the C185, I felt prepared for transporting a little bit more freight / hikers with the Twotter.

Entering the playground...

... to Ononge, ...

... next to the colleague in Woitape, ...

... leaving Fane.

Not really an area for a quick walking tour.

Ready to circle down to Tapini.

Ononge, again (I forgot the lawn mover there...).

Oh, oh, Ononge is a bit tricky...

Finally, Yongai. The curved approach really is a challenge to me... ;-(

... before resting in Kokoda "international", so I call it, as you can land totally relaxed there.

Can you see Isurava below?

And the entire playground along the Kokoda track? But I skip them all now, and head back to Jacksons...

Survived with only neglectable virtual damage. A good day for a bushflying amateur... ;-)

Great trip you made. Hope you didn't forget the lawn mower.    :-)

Thank you, mates. Yes, I did pick up the lawn mover and brought it to the places where work was required.

Nice to do this tour with a powerful Twotter. Next difficulty level would be real weather, or would one call this suicide...?

Great shots of your interesting trip Gerold.

I have not tried the Twin Otter for ages but I am really enjoying using the old radial planes in this area.

With the curved approach at Yongai it is about time they put a checkerboard on the hill.

What makes the Twotter tricky is the slow response on throttle changes...

... but your fantastic suggestion to put a checkerboard on the hill may help. OZx guys, please help and drop it!

With some of these approaches and dogleg runways , maybe you should tour with " Twisted Sister " :

Cheers

John

Better this sister... (lovely hairstyling & clothes*):

* As people get older and change their hobbies, perhaps one of these talented singers now is here on the forum. Let me express my compliments for the creativity.

This is so cool!  I was just about to try this with the Otter today.  Was wondering if it would be a good plane for it or the 208.  Now I want to try!

Nice screenshots!

Hope you had / have fun on the tour, Jack. Please do not forget to give visual evidence here!

Flew the Lancair last night ala Froogle's YT's and he makes it look EASY!

My first few landing were complete out and out crashes!  LOL!

I didn't take any screenshots but will next time and I might try a different plane.

I didn't realize the altitude of those places, good grief they live on top of mountains.  Wonder what it's like to live there?

The scenery with the Holgermesh is spectacular.  ORBX really out did themselves on Tapini.  Very impressed.
