I don't live in Southern California and have only been in LV once..., but you can take my money, too ;)

Kind regards, Michael

I know this is a real shot in the dark due to probably getting hundreds of requests for various locations throughout Southern California but I was just wondering what the U. S. Marine Corps Recruit Depot looks likes since part of it borders The San Diego International Airport .

Really looking forward to this one , I'll look through the already posted screen shots and see if I can spot it . Spent a little there in 1965 .

Never been to Vegas and probably never will but can recognise many famous places in these shots.

I can see meltdown coming at FSS.

Or perhaps the first real test of FSS's website which was recently moved to new servers that can scale capacity based on demand.  Hope we'll find out very soon. :)

Thank you looks great I was hoping more of the LV Strip would me modeled maybe someone will add the buildings after that fact.

It looks real good I was just hoping for a complete LV scenery (I am not a fan of the Aerosoft LV scenery).

Thanks

Sean

Definitely should be on the list for a city-scape after release.

Scenery looks great.  I have to agree the Strip buildings are still circa 2005 like the default FSX ones.  The Encore (next to the Wynn's), Palazzo (next to Venetian) and the entire City Center complex (HUGE...next to Bellagio) are all missing.  Nobody has come out with a GOOD Las Vegas Strip update since the FSX default scenery.  The most recent one that included the City Center complex was atrocious.  The building textures on it were blurry and nowhere near what anything really looked like and...well, I'll leave it at that, 'cos I can't say anything "good" about it.

A Las Vegas CityScape...primarily even if it just included the Strip and "downtown" area (where there are only about 3 blocks of hotels BUT also the Freemont Street Experience "tunnel" that runs the length of it)...that would fit in with the NA SCA would be golden.  Don't know how hard it would be to get good pictures of the missing buildings/complexes to make textures for them, but if it could be done.....drool.

I'm still buying NA SCA though.  Not complaining!

Hi guys thanks for all your comments and glad you like the shots.... of course, more shots to come over the following weeks....

As a few of you have mentioned regarding the Casino and Mall buildings. These are indeed still the default models, though outdated, those buildings do the job to represent the Vegas Strip skyline. Orbx developers can then focus on other locations for custom models. Besides, there's Aerosoft's Las Vegas cityscape add-on for those that desire more detail.

Cheers

John :)

Well I live in Sin City. Looks great, however if someone fix's the strip and Downtown area let me know. I live at the Stratosphere Resort and there is an issue with the base of the Tower that MS should know better lol. At least some of there IT Personal are known to be frequent at the Tower as are us Ret. Coasties.

Thanks so are you saying that no chance Orbx developers will offer a city scape package for Las Vegas.

well, never say never but it would have to be a very brave developer to take this on. Just compare the complexity, in terms of shapes and textures, of the Vegas Strip casinos with that of the adjacent buildings and terminals at KLAS...

In any case, even a handful of Vegas casinos would have blown the entire 3D modeling budget of SCA, so I'm afraid a current, detailed Vegas Strip isn't going to be part of this FTX region.

BTW, SCA users can choose to keep the default photoreal Vegas Strip ground textures active (John's screenshots were taken with it deactivated), perhaps of interest to those who prefer its very bright night lighting.

Cheers, Holger

Well, I wasn't going to name other developers in my earlier post, but seeing as you did, I'll assume I won't get in trouble referencing the Aerosoft Las Vegas now.  Yes, they are the most recent developer to update the Strip area.  And it includes the City Center complex, etc.  But the building shapes and textures they used for the buildings (especially the City Center) look like they were done by a 5-year old with a box of 64 Crayolas.  Blurred, no details, etc.  Which really surprised me considering their other city projects like Chicago and New York.  I removed the Aerosoft Las Vegas a day after I installed it (well over a couple years ago) and haven't used it since.  NA SCA will look much better even using the default FSX Strip buildings that come with it.

Again, not complaining about SCA.  It just seems (like Holger referred to) that in the history of flight simming, the Las Vegas Strip has changed so much that developers probably really DO have a hard time keeping up with the changes, and may avoid doing it for several reasons as Holger said.

Hi. I replied to the other post about to many new screen shots of upcoming sceneries, but you just can't help yourself. They are brilliant and can not wait to buy them. Well done all you Orbx developers, you are the best. Derek.

Will FS Dreamteam Airport Las Vegas blend good into this scenery ?

Depends on what you mean by "good".  I've had the FSDT KLAS for years, but there has always been a slight elevation problem with it if using any third-party terrain mesh.  Not a show-stopper, but I would assume the same issue would still be there with NA SCA.  As for texture blending, I doubt there would be any "I can't stand to look at this!" issues.  In any case, it wouldn't be ORBX's fault if either issue was there.

I'll let you know as soon as I get NA SCA installed on my computer.  :D

thanks for you reply,  do you also have KLAX  FSdreamteam and  KSFO HD Flightbeam, because I like to buy these airports too

when orbx SCA is released, but don't how much they affect to flying in regard to FPS, because mostly

fly A318 aerosoft en PMDG 777,737 , and when framerates become too low, I have to deactivate scenery, what is not the

intension when buying these airports.
