There have been shown so many exciting and overwhelming screenshots of the coming openLC NA Alaska/Canada area but I didn't read any comment about possible frame rate decline based on the many buildings in town or community areas.

Are there any experiences somebody might report?

There weren't any for most of us, when ORBX launched Open LC Europe, so I believe there is nothing to worry about with a much less densely populated Alaska/Canada

From my testing, I was having no issues at all... Even over dense urban areas I was maintaining 50 to 60fps with high settings. Like all things, if you add heavy weather, and an advanced aircraft, things might slow down a little, but my experience was only slightly fewer FPS in OpenLC than I had in Default.

I even had some areas in the more rural spots where FPS was over 100 :)

Yep,

But everyone don't have the same (Desktop - Custom Built):  :DeadHorse:

You miss the point I made... whatever you get in default, you will see only a minimal impact with OpenLC, and then only around urban areas.

Custom PC or not ;)

Just so you know, CYYC now has 2 main parallel runways (added last year) and only one is shown on the screen shot. Any plans to update that either through this or through the NRM region. I realize that there are some free sceneries to update that, but I'm wondering if it will ever be updated in your software by default.

Thanks for the shots though

Wow, can't tell if I'm looking out my window or at the screen! Nice.  I concur with smiling_joe about the runway. There is, however, a freeware update somewhere on here

Ditto to Wolf2grey's comment.  Will look so forward to the 48 contiguous states product.  I so much hope this is next on the release horizon?

There's also a payware scenery for the new CYYC. I don't think openLC would be the proper product to fix this, but in the NRM region it would make sense.

I agree. I would bet that you won't notice any change.

Thanks Iain! Your final shots are always so splendid! Hooray...another huge part of the world now looks realistic to what's actually there :) I love the amazing localised textures, autogen and vegetation the OpenLC World brings :) (just left on short 4 day trip but will buy the minute I return...and then it's time to finally see what the North of North America actually looks like). Another historic day on the journey with Orbx FTX!

It took Beethoven 4 notes to introduce his 5th Symphony it takes Iain only 3 words to introduce a whole new world in the ORBX flightsim world (not the one of Dvorak...due later this year). Bought ... looking forward to install ... and fly!

Just bought it and flew two flights... it looks amazing! Just as good quality as OpenLC Europe. I had Google Earth open as well, comparing the two.. and all the features are very similar. Looking forward to fly more! Great work, Orbx.
