  1. Where the Cal Nevada border T-bones with Oregon - just inside OR a town named Lakeview has a nice airport. This alkaline eyesore is called 'Goose Lake' - a goose can do better than that. Not sure whether the brown area was a forest fire. Mt Shasta maintaining line abreast with the other volcanoes. Approaching the north end of the Sacramento Valley. Redding CA 96003
  2. Departed Petaluma in Sonoma Co and continued south along US101. Novato - close to San Pablo Bay. This opulent facility on San Rafael Bay is San Quentin State Prison. Home of the 'Giants' and the 'Forty Niners'. US101 joins CA1 across the bridge - CA1 continues south close to the coast and US101 goes right through city center.

  4. A gent by the name of Carlson makes the XCub and I bought it. Found out he also makes this excellent Citation 'Longitude' so I bought it. Departing the Arcata airport for a trip to Sacramento. Humboldt Bay California at its best. Humboldt county was named for Prussian explorer Alexander Von Humboldt and hosts some of the largest redwood forests in the world. My personal test of scenery - look down, are you falling?
