  1. The title says it all, forgotten where this was!
  2. Approaching Mt Shasta. Another one of those saved unfinished flights that I must get around to completing.
  3. Two famous Liverpudlian landmarks just in front of the Twin Bonanza's nose. Anfield and Goodison Park can be clearly seen either side of Stanley Park.
  4. Vera, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster. 1. Departing Scampton, the first home of the famous 617 Squadron who flew The Dams Raid from here in 1943. 2. Nearby Lincoln Castle and Cathedral. The straight road is the A15 which is the old Roman Road, Ermine Street. 3. Passing back over the City of Lincoln. For over 200 years, Lincoln Cathedral was the world's tallest building.
  5. Following Ruston Way on the shores of Commencement Bay with Tacoma ahead.
  6. A trio of views of Edinburgh Airport which originated as Turnhouse Aerodrome in 1916. 1. 2. 3.
  7. The famous Royal Troon Golf Course can be seen here as I depart from Prestwick in Scotland.
  8. Bagdad Florida! Flying the wonderful freebie Khamsin T6G. Many thanks to them for this great gesture. The Choctaw Naval Outlying Field can also be seen here. Currently in use for primary and UAV flight training. The small town of Bagdad is directly under the wing and for golf fans Bubba Watson is from Bagdad.
  9. Looking back up the Mobile - Tensaw River Delta, the second largest delta in the US. The default Mobile is on the left of screen. Over Mobile Bay.
  10. As mentioned in a previous post, my first attempt to get the Lightning into the air wasn't too successful. 1. Waiting on the keys ready for take off. 2. A slight deviation to port and onto the grass and the taxiway! 3. Start again and that is more like it. I have always been fascinated by the Lightning's gear when it retracts!
  11. Got it up in the air at the second attempt and now to see if I can land it at Lyneham. 1. 2. 3. Over the piano keys and down! 4. 5. 6. 7.
  12. Flying east from Pearson and towards The Cascades. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  13. Looking along The Solent from above The Needles.
  14. I wanted to call my friend who is in the Glades Correctional Institution at Belle Glade. No use though as I had forgotten my cell phone!
  15. So here I am in Alabama. The Perdido River marks the boundary between Alabama and Florida and there are another 28 miles of TE scenery to the east shore of Mobile Bay. I am now heading back east at a place called Gulf Highlands. Notice how the tip of Mobile Point is XP scenery!
  16. Calum asked for some snaps of Dumbarton Castle. I finally found the time this evening to go and look. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. I hope these are of help to you Calum. The Son's ground comes up well! A beautiful part of the world which I have yet to explore but having just bought Florida and Cal Nor I don't know when I will find the time to come back.
  17. A nice coastal feature in the locality of Carse of Ardersier on the southern bank of the Moray Firth near Inverness.
  18. Lifting off from Swanson with Mount Rainier very visible.
  19. I blew the monthly allowance away this week with TE FL, KEYW and also TE NCAL. My first flight in N Cal was from across the border in Oregon and down to Weed! Mount Shasta was in view the whole time and I will like to have a closer look later. I forgot to have the transparent roads but that is now remedied for the next flight.
  20. A pair of views from a short pre bedtime flight over Butte County.
  21. Making a hasty exit from Boscombe Down in Wiltshire. Another tremendous freeware fighter.
  22. Departing from Skagit at first light in my Beaver. I don't know where I am heading apart from bed!
