  1. Flying in the Dash-8 to Block Island from KMMU Morristown. 1. Departing the FTX Global freeware airport KMMU. 2. Passing over the Hudson at Yonkers, a bit off course as I had to insult the manual to find out how to activate the GPS 3. Long Island Sound. 4. Below are North Port Bay and Duck Island. 5. Shoreham Nuclear Power Station and Calverton Air Park. 6. Looking back at Shinnecock Bay at Southampton. 7. Now approaching Block Island. 8. Crossing the coast at Stevens Cove 9. 10.
  2. One of my favourite planes is Virtualcol's Dash8 and today I decided to upgrade the sound with Skysong Soundworks PW 100. Just a few pics from an early morning take off from Plymouth to test out the new engines. 1. 2. 3. The Dash8 now sounds better, F-50 and ATRs to follow with better sounding engines. I think the 340 will have it's CT-7s replaced too!

  4. The scenery on my first flight from Jan Mayensfield last night appeared a bit sparse. Looking at other posts today I realised something was wrong. Thanks Brad for pointing me in the right direction. I had forgotten to install the latest ORBX Libs. Installed through FTX Central 2, easy just pressing a button and it downloaded itself.   5. Brought a few more Asian airports in a sale last week and very pleased to see they work in both FSX and P3D. Paro, Bhutan is reputed to be the most difficult commercial airport in the world to land at. Because of will be taking off and heading south,. As there are no Dash 8s registered in Bhutan, Medavia of Malta provided me with one of their Dash 8s to fly in. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.

  7. Have not been to Taiwan for a long time so Uni Air provide the transport for a short flight over the mountains from west to east. I did remark when the Dash 8 was released 2 weeks ago about the lack of B- registered examples. I have looked at the production lists and found out the reason. There are not many Dash 8s in China and Taiwan at all. 1. Leaving RCKU at Chiayi, showing how great Global Base and Vector is. 2. Active Sky Next in live mode provides the final touch as we climb over Chiayi 3. Some spectacular roads and a tunnel but I have forgotten where this was taken.

  9. I have not done many flights in Western Australia. Decided to fly from Busselton to Jandakot in the plane of the moment, the Dash 8. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. Never flown along the coast here but there is some very interesting scenery along the way. No time to give a detailed description of each shot as I want to fly before bed time. Hope you enjoyed the set.

  12. Just mucking around with the Virtualcol Dash8 Q400 before bedtime. Will have to do some serious flying tomorrow which means some perusal of the manuals. Looking at some of the North American liveries and one imposter which is very dear to me. 1. 2. I was changing the aircraft in flight to the different liveries. What I didn't realise was that after each change the engines flamed out and the restarted after a few seconds. So the Horizon plane had no time to restart before sinking onto the ground.   14. Took a taxi ride at Melbourne just on dawn. 1. Dwarfed by the QF A330. 2. Compare the 300 and 400 series. 3. Heading off for the long drive to RWY 16 and have to give way to a 738. 4. Just in time to see a real airlines A380 arriving from Singapore. 5. Two more A380s getting ready for departure. 6. Cathay Pacific A330 arriving from Hong Kong. 7. Waiting after the departure of a Virgin Australia 738. 8. Now its our turn to wait for the air to clear behind the departing QF 738. Wish I hadn't heard about the baked on shadows. They do stick out like dog's b*lls don't they.
  15. What a day it has been. Very pleased with the pending release of the deHavilland Dove, great news. Decided to buy San Carlos and was thoroughly enjoying it when I decided to check my mail box. Virtualcol Dash8 now for sale. Buy, download, ready to install. VISITORS. Aaaaargh. Well they didn't stay long so after a faultless installation time for a flight.
