  1. My first flight in OLC Africa was from Cairo, which is close to Egypt. I was very impressed with the appearance of the buildings when compared to Google Earth. An outstanding job done here. No real need to tell you that the title is Cairo in Arabic.
  2. Some more of the Beverley flying along the Yemeni coastline. 3. 4. 5.
  3. On the ground at KFOT. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  4. I managed to get my ancient Aerosoft Beaver going in V5. The problem was I couldn't find where I had it in my FSX cheat folder for P3DV4 1. 2. 3. 4. The first pay ware plane I ever bought and still one of my top 5 favourites.
  5. A few views of Canyonlands NP in Utah. 1. 2. 3. I took off from Caveman Ranch which is one of the Global freeware airports but I forgot I was using V5 and not V4, so it wasn't worth showing!
  6. Seen here departing from Aden.
  7. St Helens Beach, QLD named after a pastoral area owned by John Macartney in the 1870s It's name was changed from Wootaroo in 1973!
  8. Directly overhead PAJN, which is out of sight and looking back down Juneau and the Gastineau Channel.
  9. I cannot remember which one of the Real Air Champion planes this is but it is alive and well in P3Dv5. It is seen here flying over Hayman Island which is the most northerly of the popular Whitsunday Islands. Hayman was formerly owned by Ansett who built a luxury hotel on the small island in 1950. In those days you got to the island by Catalina or Sandringham flying boats!
  10. I lobbed into what turned out to be Mackay QLD this evening. One of those flights that had no plans when I took off from Hamilton Island and I hadn't a clue where I was landing! 1. Very pleased to see a Pel Air Saab 340 freighter sat there, could it be...…….. 2. Nooooo, it is VH-KDB, sister ship of KDK. Anyway I saw the real me in Brisbane last year so that is good enough for me. 3. I must say I am very impressed with the rendition of Mackay airport too.
  11. Yesterday I saw a post on another part of the forums grizzling about some of the screenshot forum members for their enthusiasm. Disappointing especially as the target of the grizzle are people who constantly give us a great input and friendship here. Anyway, here are some good grizzlies! 1. 2. 3. 4. Times are tough for all of us so how about keeping your gripes under you hat and doing something positive here for all of us to enjoy and appreciate. 5. Me? I am having a whale of a time on here! The wonderful Valdez scenery and no bears grizzled at being buzzed by my...…………………………….Cub!
  12. Ant's wonderful Eaglet is another plane that is V5 friendly.
  13. A few more from my flight from Kenai to Birchwood AK. 4. 5. 6. 7.
  14. On the way to Anchorage from Kenai in the newly installed Alabeo PA-23 Aztec. 1. 2. 3.
  15. Skagway is on the Taiya Inlet, Alaska. With a population of just over 1100, it relies on the over one million visitors from the many cruise liners that call here every year. 1. Now it is May and the dock should have the liners berthed here but with the Wuhan Virus it is eerily empty. 2. Better days last September, hoping that this damned virus can soon disappear and everything can return to some sense of normality. Thinking too of all the communities that rely on the tourist trade that has vanished.
  16. In the US, according to Kiplinger. 8. With a population of 280,000, Anchorage has roughly 40% of Alaska's population living here. 9. Tokyo is almost as close to Anchorage as New York and with it's location it is the 4th busiest cargo airport in the world. 10. With an area of 1706 sq miles Anchorage is the fourth larges US city by size and larger than the State of Rhode Island 11. The Port of Anchorage receives 95% of all goods bound for Alaska!
  17. I am very happy too to have Old Big Head working in V5. The Carvair is a bit like the Frankenstein of planes! The main difference to the clip is that it is the gentlemen hammering on my front door that are wearing the white coats. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  18. Climbing out of Fairbanks AK which is to almost under the plane. Bottom right is the Elliot Highway and bottom centre, I assume, is the Alaska Pipeline(not sure if it is depicted in OLC NA)!
  19. I know some will despair at the FSX default 744 but I have it working well in V5 and it is a plane I can fly quite easily. 1. Off from Vancouver with the city and mountains on the north shore. 2. At Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island. 3. Further up the island is Mount Schofield and Horne Lake.
  20. Flying the beautiful giftware Super Cub over and beyond Hobart. Many thanks to Flight Replicas for this generous gift.
