  1. Pictures from the wonderful Z08 airfield (from ORBX NSTU Pago Pago Scenery). Wonderful vegetation, mountains, sea, birds, houses, boats, all the details are covered Highly recommended!!!
  2. Strap yourselves in, this is a long one. I took off from EGLC. Had to fly around a bit to get my speed up and align with the bridge, but this was a nice practice run. And a nice shot of the city as I climbed out. I then headed north, stopping at RAF Waddington to refuel, and passing by the Humber Bridge. Figured that one didn't have the clearance for the shark fin, so pushed on up to Scotland... First up, the Forth Rail Bridge. Then the Road Bridge. And finally Queensferry Crossing. Oh, and two gratuitous shots of the climb out, with wings folding back and burners. (Why yes, it was raining again.) And, to prove it was all in the same pass, here's a little vid of the Forth Bridges as I went through:
  3. X Plane. Wonky's Blog! 54. Flat SCreen and VR with the Scheibe SF-25C. Another long ramble about everything. Flat screen mode up to 12 mins and then a small section on how I record in VR. Any tips are greatly welcome. Last part a bit about how I think VR will bring more people to helicopters as the ultimate VR experience. But we have to wait for that big XPlane update so that more average PC's can run VR smoothly Also sorry about the AB412 update, yes the helicopter had been updated and I had done that but what I saw was the SWISSCREATIONS RELEASED THE BELL 412 EXPANSION PACK FOR X-PLANE. sorry for any confusion. As usual much wiser to check out the Helisimer page. Wonky Joystick Productions A voice Made For silent Movies Videos For fun
  4. On my last flights in the "ORBX-country" a few pictures were taken. I would like to share with you On this flight I started from London City Airport in TrueEarth GB to a small sightseeing flight. Flown with the AVRO Tutor (Freeware by Nigel Richards). Many thanks to @Doc Scott for his great tip! The next flight took place with the Commander 114 in Switzerland. More precisely, near Interlaken. As you can see it was very foggy, it was flown with real weather ... Small aircraft has its charm, no question. But a large aircraft, like the Airbus A318, is a bigger challenge The picture shows the final phase of the landing approach in LOWI Innsbruck on runway 26 ... Innsbruck. Always worth a trip!
  5. X Plane Wonky's Blog! 52. Having a closer look in VR at some of the textures In Orbx true Earth South/London. Finally back in the seat again after having a few bad weeks with my Dystonia problems. Made the big 100 subscribers so thanks to everyone that pressed that button. So only a quick flight in the Cabri having a closer look at the Orbx textures for London. Also for some reason called the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge the Queen Mary Bridge? Hopefully back on my feet again and will get back into the swing of things. Thanks for all the good wishes on Facebook. Wonky Joystick Productions A voice Made For silent Movies Videos For fun
  6. X Plane. Vskylabs Autogyro. Wonky's Blog! 51. Sorry to say not much going on this week been laid up in bed with my dystonia problems but managed to get some more footage of the Vdkylabs autogyro at Shoreham and at Machmell Fisheries. Just some more fun and games. also starting to wonder if Orbx have it in for me as two new trees have popped up on the Shoreham test track that I use for low-level flying blocking the route, and that other Helicopter is still on the Helipad spoiling all the hover practice at Shoreham. Its a good job Orbx are doing such a good job or I might complain.
  7. Hi all i am having issues with my OBRX OpenLC Europe. Don't know how to explain it but here you have a screen shot. When i uninstall Orbx it just simply fixes the issue. Please help
  8. Have now downloaded and installed Sumburgh. Another excellent scenery. A few from my first flight there.
  9. X Plane The VSKYLABS Test-Pilot: Mini-500 Project. Wonky's Blog 41. Only a quick look at this New project from VSKYLABS. Only had it a few hours, but here is a first glance at what I can only describe as a "Nutter" of a Helicopter. You need all your wits about you with is one A full on Adrenalin rush in VR. 11. X Plane 11, Orbx Fairoaks Airport. Low-level flight in the Cabri. Wonky's video blog episode 38. A real low down fly through the countryside around Fairoaks Airfield with the updated ORBX Library that I should have installed on the first video. This is a great Helicopter "playing field". And I highly recommend it if you are into low-level flight amongst the trees. 12. Just a little flying around 1s2 trying not to hit any birds.
  13. Hi Folks, very quick question. I've flown FSX & FSX-SE for many years and have lots of Orbx Addons. Do I have to pay again if I change to P3D to use my Orbx products. Can I just install FTX Central with the new sim and use all the scenery and airports I already have on FSX ?? Thanks
  14. Orbx,Glorious Goodward a quick fly around in the Bell 412. A quote from the ORBX site. And it looks great by the way. EGHR, located in Chichester, West Sussex, was the first airport Orbx released for England back in 2011 and has now been ported and further enhanced for X-Plane 11 including updated aero club buildings, a heliport at the Goodwood Racecourse, historic Shell refuelling station, completely new grasses and flora, animated racing cars, and colour matched to TrueEarth GB South for XP. Almost every single object seen at the real airport has been photographed, modelled and placed, allowing you to immerse yourself in a realistic flight simulation environment. The airport is located on Goodwood Estate which was the home to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years and was donated by Freddie March, the 9th Duke, to help in the Second World War effort and was used by the RAF. The airport's surrounding road was converted into a racing circuit after the war and creates the unusual cocktail of racing and aviation, which has been perfectly captured. Fun fact: The Boultbee Spitfire Academy is located in the large green hangar and houses an impressive dome Spitfire simulator which uses Orbx TrueEarth GB for its scenery! Please note that without purchasing and installing TrueEarth Great Britain South for X-Plane 11, the airport will appear differently as it shown in our promotional screenshots. You may experience one or more of the following issues: Missing or misplaced forests, non-aligned road or motorway traffic, missing or misplaced houses and buildings surrounding the airport, ortho colour matching and blending or other visual anomalies! 16. Canary Wharf And Back to City Airport. It can be done. But only just! Three Videos in two days. But I had to see if I could do it! The route I ended up taking meant I had to go under the cable cars to get back. Amazing how stressful the last part gets. And who ever put that fence and porta cabin at the end of the airfield should be shot! It took me four attempts to get it right. so here is the last of the three video Glider challenge videos. I promise no more for a week. I would love to see some other pilots show me how its done. O if they could do better. I think if I could have trimmed out the glider for straight level flight rather than hold it on the joystick it might have retained more energy and gone a bit further. As always thanks for watching, and I will leave it a week or so until my next adventure in X Plane. If any of you know of a better location please drop a comment in the box. A big than you to Orbx for a great backdrop to my video. Wonky Joystick Productions. 18. I love this They have cars without hubcaps! they have stains from the roof on the side of the building! some cars have number plates and others dont. Could the cars with plates belong to the developers? I only saw one Ferrari in the car park. Its the attention to detail that I love. I still think the mesh needs to be sorted out, it needs to be smother in some of the transitions and in London one or two building should actually b e on the the ground. But I know its being looked at. I must be more patient. Dave Wonky Joystick Productions. A voice made for silent movies.
  19. And so Orbx have created their equivalent of Hadrian's wall in the world of simulator graphics for x plane. I decided to go and hunt for the great wall to see what the difference was between Orbx scenery and straight X Plane scenery. In the first part I am running VMI-twick and the draw distance is changing, in the second part, when the clouds come on it's the maximum setting i can get on a flat screen with my setup. As a dedicated Heli pilot in X-Plane I even managed to get a Cessna Light Aircraft into the air and fly north in search of the Orbx the line. We have been told that North and South will meet up soon but with all this Euro stuff going on it would have been nice to see all three released at the same time for the UK. But in the meantime here is a short video showing the Orbx line from a Cessna Light Aircraft and then From the Bell 407. Many thanks for taking the time to watch the video but it shows in stark contrast what Orbx have done and having played with Photo scenery I am not sure I will go back to it. All we need now is for X Plane to get a better core engine, and some Kind programmer to write a native VR plugin for VR users so we don't have to put up with that ridicules desk top we have in the rift. Well again again thanks for watching and please put a like if you enjoyed the video. And yes I know I have a voice made for silent movies.
  20. Hi, ... just to show what is possible today in P3DV4 Location: Castel Frankenstein, Heidelberg in FTX Germany South
  21. I have read with great enthusiasm this merger between three great developers and asked me, and now what's next? Personally, I would very much like that they will design an addon in the style of TerraFlora, which allowed all the grass runway, look a little more real, with more vegetation, ie an improvement in the quality of these. Just an idea.
  22. Hi There Simmers, this is my first video about the Orbx products. If you have a litle time take look. Thanks, Almedin
