  1. Dear fellow simmers, recently I get an out-of-memory issue. When I start the sim, it won't load beyond "Loading auto-generated scenery" at dense airports. Hitting the 71% Loading of the sim, the RAM just runs full and the sim crashes to desktop. First my specs: AMD Ryzen 3800x 32GB RAM Geforce RTX 2080ti Prepar3D v4.5 on Samsung EVO 970 M2 BitDefender AntiVir - Prepar3D-folder excluded Windows 10 pro - System is clean: I only run it for simming. Orbx producst overview I verified the Orbx products with the help of Orbx C
  2. Hello folks, I've started having troubles after installing OpenLC North America. My Prepar3d 3.4 crashes after approx. 40 minutes of flying /Washington to New York/ and I'm getting an error message - Your computer has run out of available memory.... After I have uninstalled OpenLC, I am back to normal. I dare to say, I have a strong PC / i7 6700k, GTX 970, 32 Gb RAM, M.2 disc, Win10/ and FTX Global, Vector, HD Trees, OpenLC Europe, REX Textures Direct + Soft Clouds, REX Airports HD. Have you experienced anything like that ? The queston is -
  3. Hello, Recently I've purchased the following ORBX FTX products: FTX Global BASE Pack FTX Global openLC Europe FTX Global VECTOR LOWI Innsbruck Airport Order number (receipt number): 5964f880cf7b2 I have Microsoft Flight Simulator Steam Edition installed, before installing the ORBX addons the simulator worked fine without any problem. After I purchased and installed the above extensions, the simulator started crashing regularly throwing the out of memory error. Also, when loading a flight it just hangs at random point with black screen, req
  4. I've looked at the forums but cannot find a solution ... I've purchased your (beautiful) ESSA scenery but hold and behold, all three times I've tried to land it results in an OOM. My PC is very well tuned and with FPS locked at 30 I pretty much average that even at heavy VAS airports like Aerosoft's EDDF and EGLL - never any OOMs. I've turned everything OFF at ESSA and water on 1x to even reduce the VAS more but still an OOM. What else?? FSX on Windows 7 x64 16GB i7 4790 3.6GHz GTX750 Regards Terblanche
  5. With the new YMML V3, I'm having the same problem that I had with V2 - the extraordinary VAS usage of the 3D grass. I'm measuring about 1Gb used by the grass alone. Sitting on the runway in a PMDG 737, I can OOM right away. With 3D grass switched off, the VAS usage is very reasonable. Paul Middleton YMML - FSS0509419
  6. Hi! I am a little worried! I updated to Windows 10 recently and did a fresh install of Prepar3D V2.5 with the latest update. All was smooth and running even better than what I had with Windows 7. Yet, when I installed FTX Vector and spawned at FlyTampa's Toronto with the PMDG 777, I got a very very high VAS reading (about 88-92%) and almost 10 minutes later, I was greeted with an OOM error. Prior to installing FTX Vector, I had no such problems. VAS readings prior to the installation of FTX Vector was in the range of 60-70%. Moreover, when I was on Windows 7, I had no such problem with
  7. I am an ORBX addict. I have most of the North American sceneries and airports and a good system to run FSX. While my simulator experience is made so much more enjoyable with these fantastic sceneries, I am constantly running out of memory on so many of my flights. I know this is a common problem and results from the 32 bit limits of FSX. Even though my FSX settings result in good frame rates, I still end many flights on approach with that horrible OOM window. I am aware that the 4GB limit can be used up while flying over detailed scenery, so should I open FTX Central each time I fly a
  8. I have many individual West Coast airport sceneries plus just about every regional offering Obrx has to offer. I also have FTX Global. (FSS0270546). I have experienced quite a few OOM crashes but usually after long flights. Yesterday, I did a relatively short hop from PAFE to PAJN and just as I was doing my approach the screen froze. I was getting good frame rates prior to the crash and hadn't overflown any other Orbx airports. Is there anything I can do to minimize these freezes/crashes? I have a good system and was running Active Sky Next and EZDok. Look forward to some guidance
