  1. A nice late afternoon flight from KSUN to KBZN in the trusty old steed. This particular aircraft was retired from the CP Air fleet in 1974. It was a cloudy start out of Friedman but things cleared up by the time we reached the ski slopes south of Bozeman Short final on the visual approach into 03 at KBZN - a nice short taxi to the ramp. All done for the day - now to head into town for dinner and a brew or two...
  2. Ready for push back in the QW RJ70 at KGPI/KFCA showing the duality of real world weather, and Delta connection then and now!
  3. Just purchased NRM and took my first flight out of CYLW. I noticed that the taxiways are missing in sections of the airport. It's grass where there should be pavement. It looks like it could be an elevation error perhaps? Any solutions? http://imgur.com/a/fYSse
  4. Nice when I left... Got a little sinister... Ended up in less than minimums from time to time... And a bonus, because the South American mountain lighting at dusk was pretty cool Mike
  5. Hello, everyone. The pattern over a gloomy KSFF on Connie.

  8. Hello, I am the 'owner' of CAQ4 in FSE. I live in the house at the beginning of the airstrip. However, my feet are getting very cold and no one wants to come and visit because of the draft. Can you please put my house back on the ground? Thank you.

  12. Hey Guys, I was cruising with 777 over NRM-PNW area with FTX Global/Vector/openLC all set to hybrid and I noticed a huge texture issue. I don't know why after flying from CYYC (Calgary) to CYVR, I originally saw green textures and then all of a sudden sharp snow textures. I assume I entered PNW territory? All are installed with P3Dv3 installers and I have installed the new libraries that were released yesterday. I also have frozen water disabled in vector and in all the 3 Regions - NRM, CRM, and NCA (I am surprised that PNW doesn't have any options to configure) Area in the picture is with the location Lat: N50 57.36 LON: W116 25.09 I also have attached a copy of scenery.cfg Thank You

  17. Just a simple fun journey back into the Canadian Rockies. Apologies to my Northern friends for totally botching about half the geographical references. No apologies, though, for the circling arrival to cap it all off. Best, Marshall
  18. Climbing out of Spokane, just leaving Colbert behind... ... and to the place where Spokane river meets the mighty Columbia: Not easy to miss if you fly IFR: The Grand Coulee Dam... ... and Steamboat Rock. Looks like there are some farmers working around Ephrata and Moses Lake... ... with sufficient water, at least at Wanapum Dam: But shortly later one gets to the "most polluted place of the US": Hanford facilities. Good & interesting reading, both scientific and political: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanford_Site Sometimes we simmers may visit places we would not like to visit in reality... Finally, approaching Tri-cities. A bit high, but slow enough to manage. Let´s see if we can get some of the gigantic salmon that grows down the river of Hanford...
  19. It looked so sunny when we started in Kamloops... ... and the view from Mara´s Lookout should also be fine (you can spot the hut at the end of the road under the DC-3). But Three Valley Gap looked already suspicious, ... ... and the city of Revelstoke was already hidden. This is the moment, when a usual flight would come to a go-around... ... but the common simmer goes a bit further ! At least I saw the runway... But with 3 approaches it was impossible to land. So I had to divert to a place with instrument supported landing, in fact the most suited one was Kamloops, again. Not Ryan Air style to have so much fuel on board, but in this case a good practice.

  23. G'day Everyone, I'm very pleased to unveil the first screenshots of my latest project, Felts Field Spokane. Located just over the Cascades from many of your favourite PNW airports , this is the first payware airport for the Northern Rocky Mountains region. As well as modelling the regional GA hub of Felts Field in all it's glory, I have also included a very large chunk of the city of Spokane for you to explore too. FELTS FIELD & SPOKANE Historical Felts Field Airport (KSFF) is the GA airport servicing the city of Spokane, WA. Nestled adjacent the river in the scenic Spokane Valley, Felts is the GA hub for the Inland Empire (Inland NorthWest). With three runways (including a water runway), Felts is suitable for all types of simmers including jet flyers. Rich in history, the airport is home to a variety of well-known aviation companies and businesses, including Pemberton & Sons (owners of the oldest flying Boeing, a 1928 Model 40C), Rocket Aviation (who modify the famous Beechcraft Duke into the Turbine Duke), Northwest Airways, Moody's Aviation and many others. Felts also features impressive early 20th-century architecture, including it's famous Art Deco terminal building and old 116th Squadron USAF hanger. Spokane is the second largest in Washington, as well as being the commercial and cultural hub of the Inland Empire. Originally prospering as a stop on the Northern Pacific Railroad, Spokane grew to be one of the most important rail centres in the western US; the existing railyards are an important visual cue whilst flying the circuit at Felts. The downtown area experienced significant growth following the hosting of the '74 World Fair, and many landmarks built at this time are visible in our scenery. As well as the downtown and railyard districts, many other areas of Spokane are faithfully recreated, including the northern approaches and Spokane River valley. FEATURES - Ultra-detailed & low-impact rendition of Felts Field (KSFF) - Advanced rendering & ambient occlusion applied to all textures - Huge coverage area including the majority of the City of Spokane at 60 & 30cm resolutons - Over 40 custom landmarks and points of interest, including detailed representation of downtown Spokane - Over 50 extrusion bridges & overpasses within the coverage area, including 5 high-detailed custom bridges - Spokane railyards faithfully recreated - Super high-definition 5m mesh coverage for extended Spokane Valley - Clock tower at Felts Field tells the time! - Custom high detailed StaticFlow2 and ground vehicles, including custom aircraft unique to Felts - Designed to blend seamlessly with FTX Northern Rocky Mountains (first payware airport for this region) - Full suite of ObjectFlow, PeopleFlow2, Snowflow, TextureFlow and CreatureFlow COVERAGE Stay tuned, more screenshots and features coming up this week! Cheers, Jarrad
