  1. Agua Dulce is one of my favorite GA airstrips in SoCal. I used to dine at the Cafe on weekends when it was open to the public. I use it as a start point for a lot of my P3D flights. For some reason it is missing the windsock as shown in the attached screenshot. Since L70 sits adjacent to a parallel hill in-between the high desert and the LA basin the wind direction is an important feature. I remember over flying it once in real life and seeing the full sock 90 degrees to the runway. Discretion was the better part of valor in my little Citabria so I didn't land that day. Any help in reinstating the windsock would be greatly appreciated. FWIW in my homemade KSZP airport, the windsocks are functional.
  2. Some pics from around Big Bear, at noon and at dusk, with a lovely weather.
  3. This post is dedicated to three wonderful Orbx L's. L05: L35: L70:
  4. Hi, I'm running L70, FTX SCA and Vector. Despite many attempts to resolve the terrain issues (ensuring Vector AEC is diasbled for this airfield, turning off 3rd party mesh, reducing terrain mesh resolution, manually turning the files ADE_FTX_SCA_L70.bgl and ADE_FTX_SCA_L70_CVX.bgl in the FTX_NA_SCA05_SCENERY folder to .OFF, my scenery.cfg entries are in the correct order), I cannot get this airfield's terrain to behave for me. Could I exchange this for another airfield product, please? My L70 purchase ID for this is 5ce4339a4256b. I'd like to request EGSG Stapleford as a replacement which is currently available for slightly under the original purchase amount. Many thanks.
  5. It hasn't been all 747 time lately... Over Greece at dusk: Moorabbin in the 182, heading to Philip Island AT-6 inland from the bay. The Texan is a delight to fly.
  6. Finally, finally, finally picked up the A2A Cherokee, and she is a joy to fly! Just a quick jaunt from Agua Dulce to Burbank (Bob Hope).
  7. Just a heads up for future service packs - The CTAF is incorrect for L70. It is 122.8 not 122.9. It is also now painted on the runway near midfield by the windsock. Please see attached photo of the airport. Thanks!
  8. Flying P-51 Civilian Mustang from Agua Dulce to San Diego. OBRX: NA GOLD USA Southern California, NA L70 Agua Dulce Airport, NA KSAN SanDiego International Airport.
  9. Just the one. Might need to blow it up to see the signage. I certainly missed it on the way in <grin>. One from a rather fun trip around So-Cal and Baja, which I will post some more of later. Enjoy!
  10. The delightful Cherokee heading to L70.
  11. Bought L70 in the sale, went exploring. Spotted Little Buttes Antique Airfield on the map and thought I had to go see. Well, with a name like that . . . Heading west out of Aqua Dulce initially. Gave myself about an hour to sunset, around September time I think Love this part of the world Turning round to head back over the strip and head east/northeast Coming out of the hills, down on to the plain Little Buttes really is just a landing strip And here we are. From the name, I'd wondered if there might be some interesting 'planes parked up here but it seems not. Never mind, it's a pretty spot out here Looks like a good place to start from for a bit of local exploration.
  12. Dear ORBX, I'm doing a clean install of P3D V3.3 with all my ORBX stuff. Yesterday I discovered a small problem with Agua Dulce L70: Some autogen buildings and trees close to the airfield are missing, see my attached screenshots. I discovered the bug when landing at RWY22 because right at the short final portion lots of trees and a building are missing. It looks quite ugly overflying a flat house and trees on shortfinal, and more importantly the approach is much less impressive and challenging with that autogen missing. Must be a bug because the autogen is present on the product screenshots, attached below for comparison. So something must have happened between the release and the current software. Note that my autogen is set to maximum levels for this shot. Software installed: Agua Dulce, Vector, Global, OpenLC NA, FTX Regions, FSGlobal 2010 mesh. Perhaps the developer could take a look? My view: Product screenshot on ORBX website: Thanks, Markus

  21. This was my first circuit around Agua Dulce, and I must say to the devs...YOU GUYS F'N NAILED IT! My wife grew up on a ranch in Agua Dulce, and she vouches for the accuracy. That was good enough for me, but it just looks gorgeous during a flight. I wasn't even going to purchase this airfield, but boy am I glad I did. Enjoy...
