  1. It's been quite a while since my last virtual flight here. I was super pleased to get back to this scenery. I really loved what I saw. Hope you like it too And yes, P3D still rocks
  2. I've recently reinstalled KCMW on P3Dv4.1 and I can't get the runway bridge to show at Bear Gulch. I've increased the scenery settings to Max, run Global Vector elevation tool, uninstalled KCMW and reinstalled it, yet the bridge refuses to show. I moved KCMW to the top of the scenery library, again no change. Any help is appreciated. (FTX Central 3 used to install/configure) Gary
  3. Cushman Meadows to Sekiu in a P-51 Mustang Enjoy and thanks for looking! P3DV3 - ASN Weather Cheers Karsten
  4. Having just been stunned by TTM's pix of Bear Gulch, and the subsequent conversation about it's non-reality, I had to go see for myself. So here we go, a fake pilot in a simulated world from a completely fictional airstrip. Oh, and it's not real weather either! It may not be real, but it sure looks purty! And off into the hills! heading for WA05, Apex Airpark (which may or may not be real - I'm not bothered either way <grin>) going to fly past and come back south for a landing lining up And down! Made a right pig's ear of the landing, so discretion forbids me showing those. A slow ride, but a great way to see the place.
  5. Sequim Valley to Cushman Meadows Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade - ASN Weather Cheers Karsten
  6. A very short, but very fun trip...
  7. Don't know exactly what these guys are hunting... Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade, edited with Google Picasa
  8. Gotta love those clouds rolling down the hill in the background!!
  9. Little wonder I could not find KCMW on Google Earth. It is a fictional airport. OK I know I am dumb but it is a long way from the land of Oz! Anyway I have been installing a few of the P3D compatible airports this morning so I thought I would visit some of them. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
  10. A short go around at NA-PNW airport Cushman Meadows(KCMW) in light monoplane Piper Pacer. One of my beginning (positive)experience via secondary installed flightsim 'P3D-v2.2'. I have the feeling smoother flight and nicer shadowplay than via FSX. Comments are welcome.
  11. Good day folks, figured I would post a couple shots of my journey back to old Grandpa's place at the mouth of Bear Gulch to show him my brand new Cessna 195 by Alabeo. Upon leaving I was soon joined by an old friend in his yellow Piper Cub.
  12. After my yesterday's flight from Diamont Point to Sekiu (http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/73567-diamond-point-to-sekiu/) i do another flight over the Olympic Peninsula from Sekiu to Cushman Meadows Enjoy and thanks for looking!
  13. Hello Everyone. Just purchased KCMW v110 download. Is Cushman supposed to have runway lights at night?? All I could find on the forums is a post here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/49402-s45-siletz-bay-state-airport-runway-lights/?p=435944 where Bill talks about KCMW and S45 Siletz Bay using the same light texture. I have not purchased S45 yet. Does anyone know what this texture is by any chance?? I did look through the FSX Effects file and did not find a file relating to KCMW runway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Regards, Rob
  14. This is such a cool airport that I thought it would be fun to create an instrument approach for it, during those times when the weather's a bit iffy. The chart below is about 90% done, I still need to add some data but it gives you an idea how it would be flown. I'll submit it to Avsim.com when I'm done, along with bgl file to allow users with a conventional GPS to fly the approach in FSX.
