  1. Started an early morning flight out of KBZN for KEGE, maybe a bit too early since the weather was horrendous at 0600! Waited a few hours and tried again at 1000 hrs and had much better luck. Carenado 390 Premier 1A, N390GM paint, Adam's PTA! It's been awhile since my last post, hope I haven't been totally forgotten here on the forum, I have just not been having great luck with my P3D setup lately and a bit to frustrated to fly, all is much better now, thus the post! 1. Weather too nasty for takeoff at 0600, let's wait for better sky's! 2. Lot's of lightning around the area this morning! 3. Finally about 1000 hrs, the storms blew through and allowed a take off from KBZN (Bozeman) Rwy 12, 4. Positive rate gear going up! 5. And... we are off and away! 6. Baldy Mountain & Bridger Peak in the background! 7. Coming up on Kremmling (RLG) to begin approach Rwy 25 KEGE with what I believe to be Rocky Mountain National Park in the far distance, and Routt Nat'l Forest in the near distance! 8. Long final into KEGE! 390 Golf Mike cleared to land Rwy 25! 9. Short final now, spotted coming in over the Costco Store at Gypsum CO. 10. Close to the threshold! 11. 50.... 40.... 30.... 20....! 12. TD Vail Valley Jet Center, looking forward to the next adventure already! Thanks for riding along today! Have a good one!
  2. First time posting screenshots so... might as well share these I'm always on the forums but never post, don't know why. Hope you like them! Kai
  3. After seeing some 4.4 shots of the Tetons, I think I'll have to make the jump. This was a fun flight regardless. Enjoy! This shot is BEGGING for sharper textures...hoping 4.4 will do the trick.
  4. With a B-17 Flying Fortress from Bozeman to Jackson Hole Enjoy and thanks for looking! P3DV3 - ASN Weather Cheers Karsten
  5. An afternoon flight today from Vancouver (CYVR) Runway 26 L via GRG4 SID to Bozeman (KBZN) using the RNAV (RNP) runway 30 in the PMDG NGX 737-800WL (Westjet). Had a 115 kt tailwind at FL390 which required some serious drag with the spoilers to slow down for the approach (+ lowered landing gear after flaps 1 deployment earlier than scheduled). Stunning ORBX scenery - city lighting etc. (+AS16 and ASCA).
  6. Some views from Bozeman by the end of day - C337 skymaster from Carenado - AS16 / ASCA Have a good flight
  7. Felts Field (KSFF) to Bozeman (KBZN):
  8. What is going wrong with these last two airports for P3D V3 , last previews from Ian are over one month old. hope we will see them really soon now.
  9. The typical polluting exhaust of the triple jetliner B727 good visual while taking off, here in the vintage '100'-version used by United and airborned from Bozeman airport(KBZN)
  10. A mixed bag of CRM KBZN and a very cool aircraft i`ve just got working in v3.1...... Enjoy....
  11. Another flight with my new toy, the IRIS Beechcraft T-6 Texan II, this time from Jackson Hole to Bozeman, with a bad surprise at the end of the flight. It was a perfect flight with great weather over a beautiful scenery until i started the descend to Bozeman... Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade - ASN Weather, edited with Google Picasa Cheers Karsten
  12. The Orbx Tetons and Bozeman, but more a demo of the new Dash Pro's precision controls than anything else. Hand-flown to cruise and a hand-flown RNP approach with the HUD. Best, Marshall
  13. Bozeman to Jackson Hole Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade - ASN Weather Cheers Karsten
  14. After a maintenance issue with the Spartan - ie no power for some reason, I swapped it out for a Hurricane (don't you love FSX). I have had KWYS for a while, although the last few flights there have been void of buildings due to an overwritten dll.xml file (I think). I just purchased Bozeman in the May sale, so flew there for a first look and a few touch and goes. Cheers,
  15. Oh, goodness! That accu-simmed P-51 does cry out for attention when flying... I have the Warbirdsim P-51 which is a hoot to throw around the skies - but this A2A version is quite another kettle of fish... Anyway - I checked her out on a flight from Jackson Hole past West Yellowstone to Bozeman (chosing a high-altitude starting point probably was not one of my best decisions) Passing over the geysers West Yellowstone in the background Big Sky skiing resort Spotted one of the forest fires on the way to Bozeman Cropped DX10s Cheers Mallard
  16. ...from Bozeman to West Yellowstone (of course with HD trees ) Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade
  17. Yep, reading the manual helps. Here a passenger flight from Bozeman to Jackson Hole - and I didn't grind the engines to pulp or the plane into the ground Just remember - don't go to 100% throttle, or you'll be caught in dire straits in a blink of an eye Cleaning her up The Tetons can be made out on the horizon Lining up And parked Among the big boys And one more: Just to prove that I got the cockpit and the plane to work without any irritating yellow lights on the annunciator panel Cheers Mallard
  18. Hello Everyone! Finally some little time for flying again. So i decided to contiune my "training" with PMDG's 777, put this unique Boeing livery on to this great bird and undertook a test-flight from Portland, KPDX to Bozeman, KBZN. The first snow has fallen here already but as the sky cleared up, it turned out to become a real wonderful morning above this magnificent ORBX-landscapes. So: Everyone please enjoy, Christoph Only resized and cropped with DX10, SweetFX, OPUS weather and REX textures in use as well. On Taxiway, with the „Before Take Off Checklist" turned on … and just a little time later, well ... taking off Autopilot not engaged yet as i want to practice some handflying. by the way: These amazingly powerful engines really, really gain speed quickly - even more so, if the plane’s payload is as low as it was at this flight here Autopilot turned on now, VNAV, LNAV ... and so on - all good - so let’s relax and enjoy the morning sky and clouds ahead of us a bit … A copilot’s view And Into the winterscapes now … Monitoring the descend very, very carefully, because we sure do not want to get to close to these mountains here ... The final approach was done via the ILS into Runway 12 of KBZN. I turned the Autopilot off prior to DH to practice the required landing technique manually. And well - far from perfect, but overall okay … Taxiing is really different with this large plane - and also requires some practice … keep rolling … well, well parking … anyways: Better stay clear of the other planes around!
  19. Bozeman to Jackson Hole Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade, edited with Google Picasa
  20. I finally got around to closing the gap between Bozeman and Jackson Hole by getting a copy of West Yellowstone during the sale Here are some from a flight from Bozeman to KWYS I see I have some work cut out for me... Cropped DX10s Cheers Mallard
  21. G'day everyone, I've spent a couple of hours tonight playing around with Mallard's beautiful SweetFX modifications, and have to say he really has nailed the colour/tone balance just right. To test them out, I took my B757 on a hazy summer afternoon flight from Bozeman down to Monterey. A big thanks to Mallard for his generous contribution; I'm sure these won't be the last screenshots I post with his settings Cheers, Jarrad
  22. Inspired by Martyn's beautiful shots of the Connie, i decided to get my Connie out of the hangar for a flight from Jackson Hole to Bozeman. Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade
