Although this happens on all Orbx scenery I have attached a short video showing the scenery flickering in the distance at Innsbruck Airport as an example. For info I am running Graphics Card: 'Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4096BB' & the following Orbx Packs: FTX Global Base FTX Global Vector FTX Global Trees HD FTX Global openLC Europe EU England EU Ireland EU Scotland EU Wales EU Germany North EU Northern Ireland & Various other individually purchases Airports Welcome your thoughts and hopefully any solutions you may have to resolve this problem? Many thanks in advance, Majestic1 (Alan) IMG_1915.TRIM.MOV
  4. Hi All! I'm not sure whether this is the right place for this, but I have to start somewhere I have two issues, and they are both related to the snow textures in FSX. I have several ORBX products installed, and I have seen this in both Norway and Canada, and other snowy places. Any pointers on how to tweak/fix this will be much appreaciated! It's not bothering me a lot, but it can drive me just a little bit crazy when I start paying attention to it. Problem 1: The snow textures look very rough, and not at all crispy white and smooth like in many of the pictures I have seen of ORBX snow. It's like I can see the individual texture squares, like a grid if that makes any sense see attached picture no 2. large areas , especially icy lakes or open, snowy plains can be downright ugly to look at during low and slow flights. Problem 2: Close up the snow has a weird "hue" to it, it almost resembles oily water. I'm thinking this might be a shader issue as it's extra visible during dusk/dawn(?), but I'm including it here, as its most visible on the snow textures. IF this is a shader issue, will I be able to fix this with shader software, i.e mogwaisoft Shade?.. I have fixed a lot of my issues in FSX , but I'm a bit stumped when it comes to this. :S My setup win 10 i7, Nvidia Geforce 850M (fresh drivers), 16 GB RAM, FSX.SE, REX 3 essentials with overdrive and AS16 for for weather, REX Worldwide airports HD, CFG Has been tweaked with the help of Kostas guide, I'm not using Nvidia Inspector for anything other than a slight overclock. Software installed: FTX Global, vector, Open LC Europe, NA, FTX Global Trees HD, and 8 regions, including Norway and Pacific North West. Quite a few Freeware ORBX airports, including CYSE (screen nr 1) Aircraft in screenshots: A2A Piper Cherokee
  5. Orbx Lake Tahoe airport for P3D V4.1 does not have buildings. The ORBX binaries are up to date. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.
  6. Just purchased PNW and am having pop in texture issues on a major level. as I'm flying around the mountains I'll get textures popping in all over the place every few seconds. It's loading lower res, then a higher res, then an even higher res. These pop in textures are actually changing the physical shape of the terrain as it loads. I've done extensive testing of different P3d settings and nothing seems to make a difference. PNW is the only scenery where this issue exists. All other scenery is smooth with no pop in or blurries. Running: Global base, open NA, PNW. Everything is up to date.
  7. I'm building myself a new PC in a few weeks. Specs: • EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb video card • Intel Core i5-7600k 3.8GHz, Overclocking to 4.0 GHz • 8gb DDR4-2133 ram I know a lot of those are probably unnecessary for this question, but I listed them anyways. I'm getting REX Texture Direct, FTX Global, and FTX North America. The bad thing is my monitor is only 1366 x 768. The model is: Insignia NS-19E310A13. I would've gotten a better monitor, but I already had this one and I spent my money on the addons and computer parts. I may be getting a 1050p or 1080p monitor from my dad's office, though. So: How will my FSX look with the 1366 x 768 monitor? How will my FSX look with a 1050p or 1080p monitor? Keep in mind, I'm not that picky. Also, I'll be sitting about 2 feet from the monitor. Thanks!
  8. http://imgur.com/a/lGOFU Reference the attached, some airports show as pic 1 while others are correct as in pic 2. EGCC, Manchester UK, used to be correct but now it is all grass. I have not had this before and it seems to have suddenly happened.
  9. I did a fresh install of FSX to an new computer and installed FTX New Zealand North island scenery using FlightSim Store installer. FSX is out of the box, I haven't tweaked fsx.cfg file or done anything yet to corrupt the program. I took off for a short test flight from Napier airport, and the surroundings are flooding with water. What could cause this? I haven't seen this problem before and I don't know how to begin to solve this. Is this a problem of scenery library, or did the installation fail or does this have something to do with graphics card or what? Help!

  11. G'day Y'all , I'm new to this forum, please forgive me if this isn't the right place to bring this up but ...... I've been given a desk top computer and my hope is to transform it into a computer purely for FSX steam edition / ORBX. I was hoping somebody could throw some suggestions as to what will make my FSX/Orbx run smoothly . I should point I'm working with AMD components here. I've seen some of your screenshots here guys and i'm blown away. Any idea's on the guts i should have inside my computer to make this happen?
  12. I was wondering what could be the cause of this? I have tried reinstalling after completely removing FSX completely, including appdata files and registry entries, and only used this addon (All orbx base packs) and its still showing up. The squares you see in the shots randomly move around, but seem to slowly chew up memory.I cannot run above a medium setting while flying the majestic q400 for long without OOMs and seeing this stuff all north of cyyz and other random areas. I also use fly tampa Toronto airport, but it was worse when i didn't have that installed.

  18. A couple of time I have experienced this in Orbx England. Sometimes the graphics are very dul/washed out, like flying with a dusty cockpit (Even on sunny day) other times they are very bright vibrant, can be on the same flight and one minute dull, next flicks to vibrant, 5 mins later goes back to dull. I will try and capture some screen shots to see if that shows it up, but anyone got any ideas? Cheers Order Number: FSS0187266 Order Date: 2012-11-17
