During a multiplayer flight yesterday in FTX PNW scenery Our route took us past Powell River (CYPW) Of the six participating pilots, three could see and described the Powell River Paper Mill's remarkable detail and three of us could see nothing that resembled their description. A discussion ensued as to whether the Paper Mill scenery was a third party add-on and not part of PNW but we are pretty sure it was only FTX PNW active in the area. I thought that perhaps I might have an incomplete installation of PNW so I un-installed the FTX PNW in FTX Central and then re-installed. No ch

  8. A wild and crazy severe weather approach to KHIO, Hillsboro Oregon due west of Portland and KPDX. MotoDave once again relies on luck rather than skill to put the plane on the ground.

  10. Just reached the 9k milestone and needed Gerold to point it out to me, thanks Gerold. It only seemed yesterday that I was on 8980.....oh, it was, never mind. Just one shot to mark the occasion on a recent flight from Stevens International to Yakutat in the Default 738. 3.   11. Yesterday I removed my old desks and put the new ones in place. Everything up and running again but had to find new homes for the old furniture which has all taken a lot of time. Great fun assembling the new desks as there were no instructions. 1. Hop in the C-90 to try everything out. 2. Have set the auto pilot and heading so I don't know where I am going as usual. 3. 4. Ferry across The Mersey? 5. Passing a ferry near Spieden Island 6. Over Sidney and Victoria International CYYJ. 7. Looking back at Cowichan Bay. 8.

  14. Been too busy at home today to do much flying so just had a quick flight from KFHR down to Roche Harbour.   15. Took my first flight in the P-40N Kittyhawk from W52 Goheen last Sunday. I always thought the Kitty Hawk was a bird as well as a location in the US but I was surprised to find out it has nothing to do with a raptor. Anyway the P-40N performed very well and I am very impressed with it. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11.
  16. A shot from each of my last 10 flights from V3.0. Also running FSX and P3Dv2.4 these flights go back 6 days! So not in any particular order. 1. Chipmunk at Dyce. 2. Fairchild 24 in the Cork area. 3. DC-10 over Seattle 4. DHC-1 in Ireland 5. Once again over Cork, love Cork and love the Chipmunk. 6. Fairchild 24 in Norway, Only ever flown the radial version, will have to try the other one. 7. DC-10 on it's first v3.0 flight out of KSEA. 8. This time leaving YSSY 9.   18. Just discovered the Piper Cub, what took me so long. Flying from OR45 Benham, a strange strip built into a hillside. So not going anywhere, just flying along and enjoying the scenery. 1. Only one direction to leave Benham strip, don't think the Cub would make it over the hill. 2. Coquille and the Coquille River. 3. 4. 5. 6. Heading east near to Fairview. 7. 8. 9. 10. Great little plane as long as you are not in a hurry! Hope you enjoy looking.

  21. A very quick flight and glance at some magnificent ORBX scenery before shut eye. Squamish is the location and no surprise with the Dash8 providing the ride. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
  22. Adam ticked me off for forgetting about my Captain Sim C-130 which was languishing forlornly in the darkest corner of Hangar 2.   23. Just mucking around with the Virtualcol Dash8 Q400 before bedtime. Will have to do some serious flying tomorrow which means some perusal of the manuals. Looking at some of the North American liveries and one imposter which is very dear to me. 1. 2. I was changing the aircraft in flight to the different liveries. What I didn't realise was that after each change the engines flamed out and the restarted after a few seconds. So the Horizon plane had no time to restart before sinking onto the ground.
