Took the Texan (what else) for a ride in Germany and soon found the rego very appropriate. 1. A bit rough on start up but all seems ok. 2. Departing EDBJ. 3. Over Hermsdorf 4. Oh......, just noticed the manifold pressure is dropping. 5. Better not tell the passenger there are problems. 6. Despite making a few adjustments the pressure continues to drop so with no airport in sight time to select some open ground for an emergency landing. 7. Using the replay mode the plane remains in the state it was when landing. In flight the engine was still running and the gear was up. 8. A suitable area to land has been spotted . 9. Still high and fast but will try and get down in one piece. 10. Luckily the ground slopes upwards which will slow us down. 11. Just missed some bushes and come to a stop safely. Now where is that manual, time to insult it.

I was about to go on a flight in SoCal and noticed the latest release. So with out further ado onto the FSS site, buy and install All too easy, now the difficult part. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. Thank you Thomas for this gem of an airport. Looks like some beautiful German countryside to be explored from here and Weimar which is where I am off to next.
