I am happy that I was finally able to reinstall P3D after a failure that required a full Windows reset. Today I reinstalled AU V2, Cairns, and did a little exploration in this amazing area. ]

After protests of the local residents in Broome, because of alleged low overflight and the dromedaries not giving as much milk as usual due to a resulting PTSD (lies!), the Boeing Test Crew wandered from Broome to Cairns and hopes to find more aviation friendly people. Well, fans! And the landscape is more interesting anyways. Now this is a proper, spacious tarmac! First turn. First approach, ready for touch and go! Lots of (ship) traffic on our next downwind. And ano

One of my first flights involving the Carendo F50 taking off from my recent FS homebase of Cairns. It's such a nice airport and after being at the real thing in June, the Orbx depiction is still reasonably accurate. If those opposing hills were higher definition I'd say it'd be tough to tell this shot apart from a real photo!

G'day guys, A quick milk run today up the coast from Hervey Bay to Cairns. Very much enjoying the QW RJ70, and looking forward to the BAe146 update - I had a few trips on Ansett 146's as kid growing up in Karratha. Cheers, Jarrad

Been quite a while since I posted some casual shots up, but was inspired to take some snaps after (finally) purchasing the Nemeth AS350 the other day. I've been enormously impressed so far with this bird - performance is fantastic, and the modelling & rendering are absolutely sensational. I picked up a few local skins from OzX (very, very nice work on these too) and took her for a spin around Cairns. Cheers! Jarrad

As I have watched another episode of Sea Patrol today I wanted to take a closer look at Cairns again. Well, I suddenly asked myself why I have been here that seldomly. I was that amazed. Great work

...aaaaaand here's Part II of my flight today. The flight from Brissy to Cairns was largely uneventful, and the weather had thickened up somewhat as the afternoon progressed. Descent into Cairns airspace through thick cloud was spectacular in the late afternoon light. Enjoy the pics Descending towards the UPOLO intersection for the UPOLO2P arrival Hazy dayz On final, this bird is so much nicer to line up on approach than the iFly version. Chalk and cheese, indeed. ZOOOOooooooooooom!!! Bugger. About 5 seconds from touchdown (I'm not joking) a Dash
