Just to show the old can still be gold! FTX AU - probably the oldest of all the ORBX add-ons - can still delight. This is Fraser Island (Queensland) - with an correspondingly ancient add-on (but thankfully updated to P3Dv3 by Lionheart) - the Quest Kodiak. A great choice for PNG areas, it's equally at home here in Oz. A marvellous little plane all round. Adam.

FSX charter flight to pick up missionaries at the remote bush airstrip called Temkenumo in Papua New Guinea. Terrain is from Orbx's APYN Papua New Guinea scenery package and the aircraft is a Quest Kodiak from Lionheart Creations which is often used in real life for such work. I borrowed this one from Florida Air Services since mine is in the bottom of one of these canyons ....

Took the Kodiak for a spin around Taree - and I must say that that's a rather interesting "terminal" building the have there... Past Old Bar with a quick stop there, but the bar appeared to be closed - so I jumped back in the plane and headed for a Forsters *oooh - these puns are getting bad...* A nice beach they have there! There are even some seaplanes moored at the disused (but apparently still in use) airfield And then - just before landing at Taree again - right into a flock of birds... The plane needed quite a bit of cleaning afterwards, but luckily I made it
