  1. After an impressive sightseeing tour over TE-Washington and TE-Oregon, both in the SD version, the day ends and it was time to end the tour. I landed at Portland's major airport at sunset:
  2. Hey guys, I am having a problem with Vector in that it does not recognize the standard code of KPDX. The main issue I’m having is that I installed Bill Womack’s new Portland scenery, and I’m having elevation issues. Has anybody else had this problem? From what I can tell the scenery looks beautiful, just not displaying right. When I type in KPDX into the AEC, It turns up nothing. I have ensured that all updates are current, but still the problem persists. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. -Woog
  3. Just after the install of the latest Orbx-addition I made an exploring flight over this scenery and the (very)nearby City of Portland that I was forgotten to have also(as freeware): in the background: the international airport of Portland KPDX made a 180° turn to land in NW-direction hereby some views of Portland-City as extra:
  4. Hey guys, I figured I'd share a time lapse video I made during an awesome flight I got to go on at the Airline I work for here in the PNW area. The video shows many areas featured in Orbx products. This flight was a repositioning of the aircraft to Anchorage from Portland, with a refueling stop in Ketchikan. The route pretty much followed the coast line. Featured in the video are a PDX takeoff, a visual approach into Ketchikan, an instrument departure from Ketchikan and an ILS approach into Anchorage (PANC) in addition to landmarks such as the Olympic Mountains, Glaciers, the city of Ketchika

  6. Hi again pilots and techs... I finally decided to DL the Free KPDX (Portland.Or) FTX textures and attached is what I see along side each runway at KDPX. Is this normal or is there a fix? I saw another FTX thread a fellow airman was having with his KPDX elevation and the advice was to "remove any file in FTX/Scenery/World/Scenery that had "KPDX and elevation" in the file name. I did this! I removed one such file but I still see ditches along side all runways. (I reinstalled the file since it made no difference,) I made sure FTX Central was at "default" scenery bef
  7. Hi. This post is not related to aviation or flight simulation at all, but I felt that it was in a sense related to ORBX, and particularly to the first brilliant PNW region release. I found this DVD a while ago in JB Hi-Fi. Portlandia, Starring Fred Armisen from Saturday Night Live and Carrie Brownstein, is a comedy series which I had never heard of before buying the DVD. It is, as the name suggests set in and based entirely around Portland, Oregon. Some words from the theme song, "The dreams of the nineties are alive in Portland!" I think the reason I find the show so funny is because a
