Am slowly being able to make more videos after going through a difficult time. So a very warm welcome aboard this Tappers Airways Flight from Edinburgh to Newcastle, leg 8 of our UK tour. For once the weather is being kind to us and we get some lovely views care of ORBX Scotland and England. I hope you enjoy the flight.

Yo peeps, Another stage on my Scottish jaunt. This time from Tiree to Barra via Coll. Still snowy. I have a gripe with the otherwise great scenery. Trees. Too many. If you look at Tiree, Coll and Barra on Google earth there are zero trees and the odd bit of heather/gauze yet in ORBX Scotland not only are there trees everywhere but they even impede approaches/take offs. This needs to be rectified as besides looking/feeling more realistic it would really improve frame rates. Still, enjoy it though. Cheers, Lane.

Hello peeps. Hope you all had a great Christmas and will bring in the New Year with as warm a welcome as you've given me on this forum since September. One of my first and largest posts was a jaunt around the west coast of Scotland and up to the Hebrides via Wick using the superb ORBX Scotland... Well, I'm doing it again but this time in stages and with the addition of the stunning Sumburgh scenery near the end and best of all it's in the fluffy, wintery, white stuff. Stage one is Bute to Campbeltown (Machrihanish dammit! ) in the superb Carenado

Optical Beauty of Argyll and Bute. Part I
Lane Thomas Hewitt posted a topic in Community Screenshots
When I was a kid I was obsessed with the wondrous Edgley Optica. In the 80's it was hailed as a revolution and to me looked like a type of insect with it's helicopter cockpit. A shame the company failed after a fatal accident and after more weren't made. Apparently a new company is re-evaluating the programme with the intent on making modernised versions. I got to see and look around one a few years ago at an Old Warden airshow and it hasn't lost it's appeal. Fingers crossed. Anyhoos, my mission to cover the whole of ORBX Scotland landed me in the Argyll and Bute regio- 25 replies

Another inspirational plane from my youth was the BD-5 that appeared in Octopussy. Grabbed one and took it on a jolly from Aboyne to Dundee to cover even more of the lovely ORBX Scotland. I took in Aberdeen and popped into the glider field at Drumshade before doing a wee display over Strathallan before a fuel stop at Perth to carry me on to Dundee for an overnight. BD-5 is a great deal of fun to fly but burns up fuel like a rocket. Highly recommend it. Cheers.

Went back in time and flew a Dart Kitten II from Aviemore Feshie to Aboyne in the Scottish Highlands the very, very scenic route. Swept up and down valleys taking in waterfalls, lochs, becks, rivers all bathed in lovely autumn light. Did it in black and white again because it makes the rocky outcrops and crags pop. Hope you guys like it. Cheers, Lane.

An image heavy jaunt in a Diamond DA40 in fine weather with the odd bump from Barra, through Plockton then Stornoway for a cuppa up the west coast of Scotland and across to Wick for a snack before exploring the little airfields scattered around the Orkneys before parking up for a whiskey at Kirkwall. ORBX Scotland almost fully explored now and it marvellous. Cheers, Lane.

This Ordnance Survey Titan is based at my real life local - East Midlands Airport... EGNX, so I get to see her often http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/blog/tag/aircraft/ Here she is mapping Orbx from Cardiff along the Welsh border and on to Dundee in Scotland... First off...a quick in flight shot And at the beginning heading out of Cardiff Along the Welsh border Dundee coming into sight... Nice handling bird, enjoying this landing And ready the next morning for another mapping adventure in Orbx land
