  1. ... in order to take a long-distance flight into the FTX Global world. The coast guard was getting ready in Victoria, BC... ... viewing Roche Harbour, ... ... Spieden Island, ... ... Crane Island ... ... and Anacortes. A great area to fly, but this plane is not really the one I would chose for island hopping. The Tesoro refinery, ... ... Cornet Bay, ... ... and Paine Field. Seattle, with typical weather... ... and a little view of the city, just before getting down in KSEA. And now out of NA into Global!
  2. No, no, not the queen... . Took off from Bellingham in a much-too-big bird for this tour. Passing Orcas Island... Waldronaire 90WA. No way to land the Caravan there, it seems... Spieden Island. Looks quite uncommon - could be off the West Australian coast... But also too steep & short for my taste. Stuart Island looks much better (the one in the back, not in the front...): The place to change planes: Victoria, BC. And with the smallest possible one towards Brentwood bay... ... and Victoria downtown.
  3. The freeware 7WA3 West Wind does contain some more challenges for small planes...: On downwind southwards from West Wind, over Nooksak River: Cedarville. The airstrip is not AFCADed, and not easy to spot... ... but if you found it, landing is only obstructed by the trees... They might need a gardener there: Done. And I am not alone here. Compare this layout with Google Earth, you will be amazed. Back through the trees, and turning south over Land O´Lakes Purina Feed Company... ... towards Riverside. The airstrip is clearly to be seen ... NOT! OK, now a bit better. Beware the powerlines... Remark: The grass looks weird from some angles (like in this shot), but from other angles it is ok. No idea, but for airstrip #3 in a freeware package, I am happy with that... After some hours (with a good BBQ) I went on, eastwards: ... towards the OZxed Kendall WN08: The windsacks are the best runway indicators here... ... but who the hxxx has placed a fence directly next to the runway? Good this is only virtual...
