  1. Big job flying a bunch of cargo up to the village of Woitape. This was going to be a two plane shuttle and I was going to flying the big crate in P2-KSM while the rest was being flown up in P2-KSI. The flight started just before the crack of dawn trying to get up there before the heat of the day added to the planes performance. On the ground it was already 80F and Im sure there was plenty of low clouds and fog up in the valleys yet to burn off. Found an opening after circling the field and made a nice slow approach into land. KSI was already on the ground and starting to unload the plane. A MAF crew was also there helping coordinate the delivery. Attached is the Google Earth file for the flight from the Twin Otter Flight Recorder. aypy wtp.kml

Well mates, after arriving in Interlaken ( http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/57108-tasmania-tour-part-8-the-lakes-cradle-mountain-to-interlaken/ ) it was time for the last section of the island tour. Climbing south out of Interlaken ... ... I went down to Jericho and then northeasterly, over the Midland Highway: A little surprise here, did I suddenly get over to Holland? OK, everything is still fine with the Navigation: In a zone of really strong upwinds we find the Woodbury gliding club. Seems there is a reason for having the club at this location - one should give it a try! But what is this on the ground shortly north of Valleyfield? Needs some careful inspection: Well, the fire brigades are already there - no need to call for help. [Whoever has put this little detail into the scenery: A lovely idea this was!] So I could go on and approach the (usual) 32 L of Launceston: I think this sign in the open baggage claim area of YMLT (is it still there?) really makes a lot of sense, if you have seen some of the screenies of this tour already: There is a lot of wilderness around Tasmania.
