  1. Good things come to those that wait! A2A Connie in P3Dv4: Ant's Eaglet over its home base - NZWR: Adam.
  2. The next part of my zig zag flight around Tasmania takes us from Cradle Mountain to Mount King William III. This is the first time I have flown low level around this part of Tas but the scenery is incredible. Warning this is a big set of 19 shots. 1. 2. Cradle Mountain dead ahead 3. Dove Lake with Crater Lake to the right. 4. An excellent place to visit if you enjoy walking and amazing scenery of course.. 5. 6. 7. Mount Pelion West 8. 9. Lake Echo is just above the Eaglet's nose. 10. Lake Burbury. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. Starting our descent into Mount King William III airstrip.  16. The strip can just be made out. 17. 18. Almost there. 19. Parked and planning the next part of the trip.
  3. The other half of the new CNK4 is Roberts Lake floatplane facility. A circuit from Roberts Lake with more views of Parry Sound Airport. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11.
  4. Nearly fell off of the ORBX world here with a flight from Dog Fish Bay which is at the extreme western end of SAK. Only 28 km to Port Graham but the weather is grey and wet. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  5. First part of a round the world trip in Ant's Eaglet. 1. Here we are about to set off from Penfield just north of Melbourne. 2. Full tanks for a long haul. One passenger and luggage for our long trip. 3. Up and away, the Eaglet struggling for height packed to it's limit. 4. Reaching cruising altitude. 5. Now descending into Riddle's Creek for our first stop on our epic journey. 6. A safe landing, first of many. 7. Plenty of great detail in these OZx airports. 8. Parked up for the night. After such a long first leg and plenty of flying ahead a good nights sleep is vital. Flight log Distance covered 2,600 metres Time airborne 1minute 53 seconds. Nah...... this will take years at this rate. 9. Just kidding. As you can see the end of the runway at Penfield with Riddle's Creek just above the nose. Two OZx airports very close together!
  6. Not really Christmas but we could all break into song and sing Noel Noel etc..... So where is this leading? 1. Noticed an taking off from Penfield that it is spelt out in trees at the end of the runway, but the 'L' has been removed or maybe a pilot has removed it by a bad landing Great detail in this OZx airport. . While on the subject of trees and runways has anyone else come across airports in their travels that have a bloody great tree carefully placed right at the end of the runway? I cannot remember where but one place in particular has barely any trees except for a huge one at the end of the runway!
  7. 1. It's not the rough and sloping strips like here at Steinkjer in Norway. 2. It's not Rudolph suddenly running down the runway when I am about to take off. 3. It's not him standing there laughing at me when I have gone. 4. It's not the Norwegian names, like Leksdalsvatnet, which are so hard to spell for us Anglo types. 5. It's not that Sheffield United beat the Saints today(bad enough!) 6. It's not Beitstadfjiordan with the town of Steinkjer. See #4. 7. It's not he magnificent ORBX scenery of Norway coupled with P3D. 8. It's not Ant's superb Eaglet. 9. It's not Snasavatnet(sounds like a character from Hagar the Horrible!)see # 4 again just in case you are not paying attention. 10. It's not that I have to wait another 9 months for my next holiday. 11. It's not that I made a perfect dead stick landing at Jorstad. 12. It's when you make a perfect approach and you end up in the drink when the damned yoke comes off the desk because the development team at CH Products could not spend 5 minutes making a suitable means of clamping their hardware to the desk. I cannot understand that a company designs a Yoke that is absolutely fantastic but then sells it with a total useless fitting. Had it for 8 years and really liked it except for it's reluctance to stay attached to the desk on odd occasions. I hear the new design is better, although it would not take much to beat the old design. Have their pedals too which are superb. Rant over. That's all folks!!!!!

Some wonderful detailed scenery both at the airport and the surrounding area. Don't have it? Buy it while the sales are on!
  9. I had asked these 2 blokes on a pontoon at Oian airport how to get to Trondheim. They told me to go to Hell. Then when you get there follow the Fylkesveg 705 and the airport will be to the right. It is well past 10 at night in the summer and it is still fairly light. 1. Saying good bye to my two informative friends. 2. 3. 4. 5. EVNA at one o'clock or even 12:30 to be a bit more precise. 6. The locality of Hell 7. 8. 9. 10. Not too good at cross wind landings.
  10. Been spending more time in Oz lately... the weather is too "BRRRRR" up here in North America All of my screenshots are straight V-key with SweetFX running... Enjoy!
