  2. We have just moved our training base to Oxford Kidlington airport (EGTK). On entering the main apron from the south there is a group of three people, two male, one female, standing on the taxiway about 7 ft on the east side of the centre-line. Why? By making EGTK files active/non-active I have managed to narrow the file in which these folk reside as FTX_ENG_EGTK_objects.bgl which you will know resides in FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY. Is there any way I can edit this file to remove these figures? If not, could they be edited out in a future update. Sounds like a small thing, but when teaching it stops the immersion factor for the student. Cheers, rr
  3. Hello, I have weird scenery at above airport runway surrounded by mountains , cannot see run way, same on parking stand. Have been in to vector to disable elevation correction - no change also been looking for BGL file to BGL.OFF cannot find for KSNC. Any Help much appreciated Charlie McEwan
  4. I have installed my ORBX catalogue (2 regions, 3 airports , 1 cityscape + freeware) using FTXCentral on new pc and added New purchases YBAS & YBRM . The new airports display perfectly but my default FSX airports have random shaped roads, fields and rivers where grass should be. VIDP is an example but also found this landing at EGPF. Runways and buildings appear ok. All Orbx products appear at top of Scenery Library. I am not sure this is corrdct. How do I resolve issues pls. Transaction id 5d9ad11b7019c
  5. G'day all, I am absolutely delighted to unveil one of our most ambitious airport projects to date; LOWI Innsbruck Airport for X-Plane 11! After 18 months of development and R&D from Vittorio Greco, Tony Wroblewski and myself, our award-winning airport has been brought XP11. An airport that needs no introduction, Innsbruck is one of the world's great aviation destinations. Dramatically stunning terrain, beautiful architecture, and of course one of the most infamously challenging approaches in the world, Innsbruck is a destination that is instantly recognisable to aviators of all stripes. Whether you are a seasoned jet jockey looking to hone your skills, a GA flyer looking for your next high-brow scenic joyflight, or an eggbeater expert seeking out the next challenging helipad, Innsbruck has it all. For those of you who have enjoyed this airport in FSX, P3D or AFS2, we have gone to extra lengths to provide you something next-level. Beyond the already massive traditional coverage area, Innsbruck for X-Plane 11 includes a entire 8200km2 mini-region! Beyond the ultra-detailed airport itself, explore a complete cityscene (with over 160 POI), 3 heliports and vast coverage area in complete TrueEarth-style detail. All of this has been created with optimization foremost in mind - explore this scenery with your favourite resource-intensive aircraft without having to stress about performance. AT A GLANCE THE AIRPORT - Ultra-detailed rendition of Innsbruck Airport - Extremely high definition ground polygon - Beautiful hand-coloured and cleaned ground textures at 30cm - Entirely customized GSE and static aircraft fleet unique to Innsbruck - don't expect to see generic airside vehicles or unexpected aircraft types - Hand-crafted texture work incorporating special materials, baked ambient occlusion and baked night lighting - Custom vegetation, grass and non-airside detailing - Optimized for use with default and well-known AI programs - Animated GSE and static peopleflow - Carefully optimized for best balance between high performance and detail - very low texture loading for a scenery of this scope and detail. THE CITYSCENE - One of the most detailed cities yet brought to X-Plane 11 - 160 custom points of interest - Beautiful edited 60cm ground imagery - Major freeways and bridges custom modeled - Hand-placed custom vegetation - Stunning night lighting THE HELIPORTS - Hat Tux/Aplin 5 Heliport (LOJT) - rescue heliport hidden deep in the valleys south-west of Innsbruck. - University Hospital (Uni Klinik) Heliport - rooftop hospital heliport in the heart of the city - Flight Rescue Centre OAMTC Heliport - major Christophorus/Police heliport adjacent to the airport THE MINI-REGION - An enormous 8200km2 of TrueEarth-style detail, encompassing the majority of the Austrian state of Tyrol and the southern reaches of the German state of Bavaria - Highly accurate building autogen using custom central European types - Beautiful vegetation autogen using the latest placement techniques and custom Orbx artwork - Expertly colourised and cleaned ortho at 1m resolution - Best-available high-definition elevation mesh sampled from 10m source, optimized for best balance between high fidelity and performance. - Complete detailed overlay - accurate roads, watermasking, rail, powerlines and other features you'd expect from a TrueEarth region - Expertly collated, hand-edited and compiled using proprietary Orbx technology We'll have plenty more details, screenshots and goodies coming out for this project over the coming week. Suffice to say we are all very excited about this project, and can't wait to share more info with you all. In the mean time, here is selection of screenshots from the product - and I should point out that these barely scratch the surface of all the features Innsbruck includes. Enjoy! Jarrad
  6. Dear Sirs, I have a problem with AEC. First of all I had a problem with the recognition of the airports and then I followed the advice contained in the 3ad (useful tips) "How to make vector recognize P3Dv4.xml scenery." After running MakeRwys.exe (of course I follow the instructions of the 3ad) then I run via central (4.0.10) AEC but it presents me with this error (attached photo) and I don't know how to proceed as I can solve? Thanks in advance for your support. Sincerely Roberto
  7. Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to unveil the next project for Prepar3D v4 from Rasha Tucakov and myself - LYBE Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport in Serbia. This project has been a delight for us to work on, it is Rasha’s home airport, as well as an airport I’ve passed through many times when visiting my family that lives in the city. Belgrade Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe, with over 5.5 million passengers passing through in the last year. As the gateway to a city growing quickly in popularity amongst tourists, it receives a huge amount of scheduled and charter airline traffic, and acts as the main hub for Serbia’s flag carrier, Air Serbia. With a runway over 10,000ft long, you can pretty much fly any aircraft in here with ease. Whether you are flying to one of our nearby destinations such as Dubrovnik or Pula, or hopping in a small plane to fly low and slow above the city, this airport will cater to any kind of flying you wish to do! We have modeled the entire airport in superb detail using extensive real-world photography, including interior modelling throughout the entire terminal building, making sure you have an immersive experience no matter which gate you start your flight at. There's also plenty of landside details to feast your eyes on - most noteworthy by far is the air museum, with every outside exhibit custom-modeled. Beyond the airport, we’ve included a comprehensive CityScene, covering the majority of the Belgrade metro area in exquisite detail - with hundreds of POIs, apartment blocks, bridges and landmarks modeled in high detail, this is one of our most detailed and realistic cities to date. We have created all of this with the latest P3Dv4 native technologies and optimizations, making sure that you can fly here with even the most resource intensive aircraft. COVERAGE AT A GLANCE AIRPORT - Ultra-detailed rendition of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport - Complete hand-coloured 5 seasonal variants - Long runway suitable for any kind of airliner operations - Animated SODE jetways - Superbly crafted terminal with interior modelling and custom reflections - High detail multi-elevation parking lots and arrivals/departures areas - Custom static aircraft, vegetation, and non-airside details - Animated vehicles, GSE and PeopleFlow - Advanced ambient occlusion and night lighting rendering techniques - Designed to work best with Orbx Global or OpenLC Europe - Developed for Prepar3D v4 CITYSCENE - Hundreds of custom POIs and buildings, including Usce, New Belgrade, Church of St. Sava, Beogradjanka, Avala Tower, VMA, Red Star Stadium, Palace of Serbia, and many more! - All major bridges in the city custom modelled - Over 100 square km of hand annotated, seasonal 50cm photoreal terrain to explore - A huge extended area of custom landclass, mesh, roads and rivers beyond the primary coverage area, seamlessly blending with the photoreal coverage We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting a new P3Dv4 location; work is progressing at a lightning pace, and we're very much looking forward to showing you more details of this project over the coming week! Cheers, Rasha and Misha

  11. Dear ORBX Developers and forum members, I am an young, aspiring scenery developer, and I had some questions about the software and methods you may use to develop scenery. I did attend the Captain's Corner Seminar from ORBX on scenery development, but had some questions. Firstly, the software. I understand that many of you high-level developers use tools such as Photoshop and 3DS Max to model and texture the buildings, but I never understood how that was imported into the simulator, or how you apply the textures to the models. Also, do buildings have to be modeled using the measurements of the real airport, modeled to scale, or some other method? Secondly, how are other medium-sized additions added to the airport, such as moving vehicles, PBR, and 3D grass, added to the scenery. Thirdly, how is this all compiled? Does this use the SDK, external software, or other methods. Thank you for all your help! Sincerely, Goose
  12. Hi, I was trying to land at KDZJ airport - Blairsville but it appears there are two runways and the airport altitude is wrong, the airport looks below the terrain. I tried to modify the airport's altitude using ADE but it can't load the default airport. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  13. Hello What a surprise to have a freeway crossing the airpôrt (MUNICH) as you can see in the attached .pdf Can you help fixing that? I do have most of the ORBX products Thank you MUNICH.pdf
  14. Try to find the AEC information for these airports, but I can't find the release information anymore. Thanks and have a nice flight, Wil
  15. Hi everyone, I'm very happy to announce my next project, as well as Orbx's first payware Italian destination; Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport! Designed exclusively for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4, LIEO is a highly detailed and exhaustively complete reproduction of the airport and surroundings area. Olbia Costa Smeralda airport has been designed carefully and reflects the real-world layout of the airport; including the new extended runway and taxiway. The scenery has been optimized using our latest techniques and has been designed to work best with either Orbx Global and/or Orbx Global openLC Europe. Olbia: A Little Bit of Info Olbia is a beautiful city located in north Sardinia, just off the coast of mainland Italy. With a population of 60,000, it is one of the major cities on the island. As well as being an industrial and commercial hub for the region, the city is most well-known as a famous holiday destination. Visitors from around Europe and the world flock to the city during the summer months to enjoy the plentiful beaches and spectacular scenery. As well as traditional travellers, the city is popular with high-end and VIP travellers; as can be seen at the airport’s corporate terminal. Lieo Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport The Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (ICAO: LIEO) is one of the busiest international airport on Sardinia, and is located about one kilometre from the city centre. The original infrastructure has been active since the end of the sixties, following the disposal of the historic Olbia-Venafiorita airport, and today is a modern and vibrant hub. Remnants of the old airport infrastructure are still visible and can be found within the scenery. The terminal has been expanded to 42,000m², three times the surface compared to the old structure. It is equipped with 40 check-in desks, 15 exits, 5 mobile jetways, a large 2,200 m² shopping center, and has a capacity of 4,500,000 passengers a year. Since 2007 Geasar, in agreement with the new company Eccelsa Aviation, has taken over corporate operations at the airport in its new VIP terminal. This new terminal caters almost exclusively for high-end corporate and tourism traffic. The terminal caters for year-round and seasonal flights to over 80 European destinations, including Rome Fiumicino, Milan, Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf and many others. The airport has a unique and spectacular approach, flying over the sea canal on the approach you will fly very low over the mainland ferries (modelled in the scenery), the harbour, and of course, the beautiful beaches! Orbx Olbia Costa Smeralda airport features: Highly detailed, accurate representation of Olbia Costa Smeralda airport with new runway and taxiway. Beautiful ground textures in 30cm/px with 130sq/km of photoreal coverage. Dozens POI modelled in olbia city with full 3D road connections, helipads, Ferries and Trains. Super level of realism at the airport with 3D underground parts. Compatible with Orbx Global and/or Orbx openLC Europe SODE jetways Includes Dynamic lights and extremely realistic specular effects over ground textures. Fully optimized by using latest techniques. For Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4 Enjoy! Lieo Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport
  16. I have just installed KSAN into my simulator and the scenery loads up perfectly fine however now all of the default buildings at any other airport only show the 2d wall around the edges of the generated scenery. I was able to get my default buildings back after i uninstalled ksan and made the sim regenerate the scenery.cfg file. Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Justin G.
  17. Dear ORBX developers, I have encountered a strange error at EGHQ airport. There is a copy of the airport (I believe at its original FSX/P3D elevation) above the corrected version. I see two airports at once. I have ORBX base, Open LC EU, Vector installed. I use FreeMeshX for meshes. P3D v4.4 and W7. I did run the AEC tool in FTX Vector panel. I have no such occurences elsewhere. I have attached the screenshot of the situation and also the three images of my scenery order (showing the relevant parts containing FTX stuff) With kind regards, thanks, Jan
  18. Hey Everyone, I'm hoping someone has a clue on this one: It seems that all the Orbx airports that come with the Global Airport pack, are showing up with no buildings. Default FSX airports seem to be fine. I have tried removing and re-installing the Airport pack but that didn't make any difference. I WOULD have thought that it was the autogen settings except that the default airports are fine. Ideas? Thanks in advance.
  19. This week I bought and installed my last 2 regions: New Zealand North and South Island. However, strange things are happening. First of all, the planes look not to be positioned good: (Little Navmap) When planes are moving the taxi through buildings: But looking at Google Earth after exporting from Little NavMap it looks good there: I don't get the point and am rather confused. Are you familiar with this behavior and can you help me out. Have a nice flight, Wil
  20. Hello X-Plane fans! You've asked for it, so we've done it - from scenery legend Bill Womack, we are excited to announce KVUO Pearson Field for X-Plane! Among all the small Pacific Northwest airports that are loaded with character, Pearson Field stands out. For one thing, it predates them all; KVUO is officially the oldest continuously operating airport in the region, and one of the two oldest operational fields in the USA. Even before the dawn of aviation the site was a hub of activity, as evidenced by the 19th-century Hudson's Bay Company fort and trading post just off the threshold of runway 8. So far, the tiny airport has hosted the first crossing of the Columbia River by airship in 1905, been a stopover on the US Army's first round-the-world flight, and made Russian aviation history as the landing spot for the Chkalov Trans-Polar Flight in 1937. Today, Pearson Field is a popular field for GA pilots and history buffs, and occupies a prime piece of real estate along the banks of the Columbia in the flight path of KPDX's runway 10L. We've worked hard to replicate the feel of this busy suburban field using hundreds of photos taken on-site. Many of the unique landmarks are represented, including the I-5 bridge between Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, the railroad bridge just downstream, the busy shopping area of Jantzen Beach on nearby Hayden Island, and a faithful reproduction of downtown Vancouver. If you're a fan of Pacific Northwest airports, this one is a must-have! Points of Interest: I-5 bridge over the Columbia river Railroad bridge to the north of I-5 bridge Jantzen Beach, Oregon shopping center Downtown Vancouver, featuring the round Smith Tower (used as a VFR landmark on which to base turns to/from KVUO) Fort Vancouver Key Features: 12 square miles of photo terrain around KVUO, including Hayden Island, Oregon and downtown Vancouver, Washington Detailed reproduction of downtown Vancouver Detailed modeling based on hundreds of reference photos Airport ground polys utilizing XP11 PBR materials Static aircraft commonly seen on the ramp Detailed & accurate buildings in the region of the airport, especially on approach paths All models optimized for high performance KVUO Pearson Field for X-Plane will be available to purchase from OrbxDirect for AUD $32.95 (approx. USD $24.35 / €21 / £18.60 ) Please note that if you already own KVUO for FSX/P3D, you get a 40% discount on the X-Plane version! Coverage area map: Here are a few screenshots from Emmsie. Don't forget to stay tuned here and on our Facebook and Twitter pages for plenty more shots over the coming days!
  21. Hi, just installed Avalon, and it loaded up, but while all the buildings and textures were present, there were no static cars in the car park. Not a single one. All boxes were ticked in the control panel, and scenery complexity is on max. What is happening? if it makes a difference or not, I own and have installed FTX AU Australia. Libraries is up-to-date. Help greatly appreciated
  22. Hi all, Very very close to release with this one now here are a few shots of the dynamic lighting that P3Dv4 users will be able to enjoy with this scenery. Cheers, Misha
  23. Hello all, I get next to the runway at Melbourne Airport International strange graphics. How can I fix this? Uninstall and reinstall? Thanks. Best regards, Sipke Wagenaar.
  24. Hello, as now Bob and Ezdok finally working world cameras offer combined a very good reason to happily explore and loiter into airports, I've resumed my Orbx products (YMML, YSCB, YBCS, YBBN, YPEC, YBAS, YBUD) which I bought in the past more for support and so far I had been using very very little (I even forgot to have them, except for YMML) my two questions (as non expert and with little time to dedicate to the sim in depth): 1 to see life in the smaller less crowded ones: must I install Orbx freeware AI AU/NA package? may I do it on top of MyTraffiX60a? 2 can you suggest one or more specific Orbx general aviation airport for purchase, featuring more traffic than the ones I have? thanks
