  1. I have an unusable airport caused by runway flicker, never experienced this before. No amount of zoom adjustment disables the flicker, inside of the airplane or out. The only time the flicker resolves is within about 500 feet of landing. I've read every thread I could find in a search, looking for a solution. I downloaded an altitude BGL linked in a thread, as a last resort. FSX/A
  2. After waiting for a couple of days for the weather to clear, I finally got a decent day to finish the flight to Cabin Creek Idaho. The weather cooperated for the most part except for bouts of rain and clouds. I had just about as much or more trouble finding this little airport as Rodger did, but what a hoot it was to finally get there. 1. LittleNavMap shot of I08 2. Leaving KTHM (Thompson Falls) 3. Fair weather for now! Headed for S92 Fish Lake USFS Airport flyby. 4. Over Clearwater National Forest, weather still holding. 5
  3. Not a lot of time to fly or compute for that matter lately. But, after seeing @Rodger Pettichord post on the Idaho's Cabin Creek IO8, I had to take the time to try it. Using P3D v4.2, Adam's PTA, Milviz Beaver Tundra, Active Sky P3D, time 0800 LT. Took off from 65S headed for I08 Cabin Creek Idaho. 1 Destination Cabin Creek (Google Earth), you can see the small runway if you zoom in a bit. 2 Sitting at 65S 3 Sitting at 65s Different view 4 Leaving Boundry County for Cabin Creek, nice window view from the office. 5
  4. Hi, Is there any way to deactivate the deer moving across the runway without deactivating the static airplanes and people in 65S? It's almost impossible to land or take off without going through the moving deer. Thanks
  5. WTH!, Scared me to death! I don't know what happened, I was just standing here when it went up in smoke and flames! Somebody should call 911!!!
  6. First, was landing at 65S when a big buck ran accross the runway and forced me to extend my landing, luckily I didn't kill it. Second, made another emergency landing on a bridge in Bonners Ferry ID and had a real problem, you be the judge! See, told you so!
  7. I haven't had the chance to do any flying in the past month, but seeing as though I have the Van's RV-7 up and running, I figured it was time. The weather was fun to look at, but it was bumpy as all get out. Enjoy!
  8. Morning flight with a Canadair North Star C-4 Enjoy and thanks for looking! P3DV3 - Orbx Weather 3 Cheers Karsten
  9. Left Bonners Ferry 65S sort of looking for small strips for bush landings, set a course of approximately 190*, 25 nm to Schweitzer Ski area, cut west over the mountain 272*, 4 nm and found this very large checker/chess board area cut into the forest (according to PlanG POI, 1/4th square mile Forestry Cutblocks), thought that was pretty cool, I personally have never seen anything like that in RL. You guys from Idaho or Washington may know the why of this. Found it in winter (shot 1), changed to summer to see the difference, (shot 2), Flew on to Cavanaugh Bay 66s (shot 3)

  11. A short flight from Bonners Ferry (65S) to Boundary County Community Hospital. The last two shots are comparison from sim to real (google earth) of the hospital and helipad. This is a very beautifu area and a top notch scenery, and I want to Thank Orbx and Jim Robinson for Bonners Ferry Airport! Spoiler alert (15 shots) Waiting on Uber for an early morning pickup! Finally, better late than never I guess! Headed for the airport from Bonners Ferry City, beautiful mountains around here! Had to stop for coffee at Three Mile Corner
  12. Not sure what's going on, but when taking off from or landing on 2W helipad at Bonners Ferry the chopper seems to crash and burn, lots of sparks and smoke. I can land beside it and be OK but when I get close to the pad while landing the fireworks begin (any helicopter). I just purchased this scenery a few weeks ago and this is the first time on this helipad. Screenshots attached. P3Dv3.4, Windows 10, Orbx, PTA. Thanks Roger When I spawn on the pad this is what I get! This happens when I try to land, a few feet above the pad!
  13. Felts Field to Bonners Ferry in a C207 Skywagon Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade - ASN Weather
  14. Another flight with the Electra - this time from Bonners Ferry to Felts Spokane... One bug with this plane appears to be that the landing lights are always on when the navigation lights are lit... But I'm sure that this will be fixed soon... Cropped DX10s Cheers Mallard
  15. New Grob by Iris, take off from Bonners Ferry and weather by ASN New Grob by Iris, take off from Bonners Ferry, weather by ASN. Have a good flight
  16. Enjoy and thanks for looking! FSX - DX10 - Shade
  17. Finally got the second throttle quadrant to work as it should (yes, it does pay to RTFM). And since I'm still installing some of my latest purchases, I thought I'd give the setup a try on a flight from (my "new") Bonners Ferry to (my "old") Felts Field Spokane En route Approaching Spokane All shots straight, slightly cropped but otherwise untampered-with DX10s Cheers Mallard
  18. The flight path took me from Bonners Ferry to Kalispell, Helena and finally to Bozeman Enjoy and thanks for looking!
  19. Hello Everyone! This flight had to be completed quickly, because an injured person needed to be picked up at 65S and transfered to Felts as fast as possible. The crew enterd the B200 aircraft at about 8:15AM local time at KSFF and took off at around 8:25AM. At around 8:50 the plane was parked at 65S and while all the stuff for the returning flight to KSFF was set up by the flight crew, the medical staff helped bringing the patient on board. At around 9:00AM the plane was heading back to KSFF. At around 9:30AM then, the "mission" was over and so far all went well: The patient is on the wa
  20. I edited the shots a bit to give them a vintage look. I hope you like it. Enjoy and thanks for looking!
  21. Screenshots from a winter afternoon flight from Spokane to Bonners Ferry.
