  1. The last of my flight from Luton to Newquay and the hardest part for me, the (attempted) landing! 9. Over the Wheal Martyn china clay quarry with the town of St Austell on the bay. 10. At Tregaswith and the A3059 road just before touching town. 11. There, a nice smooth touchdown without any hint of a tail strike. 12. The lady with the big cones is ready to welcome the passengers to Newquay and later maybe some surfing or seafood.
  2. Big Nose at Coffs Harbour. Whilst it is not the most elegant of planes it is nothing to be sniffed at! 1. 2. 3. 4. Now off for a sedate trundle down to Port Macquarie.
  3. Even though it is not of the highest quality I couldn't resist this Boeing 727-200 freeware with a swag of liveries. My favourite and sadly what was the final Ansett livery, are included. 1. 2. 3. I had several flights on VH-ANA in the 80s and the 727 was a wonderful plane to fly on.
  4. It is good to have my A2A Texan and now the PA-24 installed and working. Two wonderful planes I haven't flown for a long time. Here is the first flight of the Comanche from Broome. 1. 2. 3. 4.
  5. Arriving at Dubrovnik after a dawn departure from Belgrade. Now some "Gentleman" who I won't mention, but his name begins with Adambar, was asking to see the landing of the Max 10 flight. As that flight was squeezed in before bedtime I ended it just after take off but I did this flight the next day! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  6. Close to Dannevirke on NZNI in the Tararua District It is a thriving Dairy, cattle and sheep farming area. Dannevirke is the home town of the famous Queensland Premier Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen and New Zealand Test Cricketer Ewen Chatfield.
  7. The middle of my flight from Luton to Newquay. 5. Approaching Bristol with the town of Chippenham to the right. The famous spa town of Bath is just out of view. 6. The City of Bristol with the Avon flowing into the Severn Estuary. 7. At Minehead now with the Butlins Holiday Camp making it a hot spot for summer visitors. Wales can be seen across the Bristol Channel. 8. Inland to Devon and to the north of Dartmoor, part of Roadford Lake can be seen in the bottom right corner. The River Wolf was dammed here to form the largest freshwater area in SW England.
  8. A Virgin Australia Max 10 heading away from Belgrade.
  9. Flybe don't fly from Luton to Newquay and I cannot pilot a Q400 either but that is the beauty of Flight Sim! 1. Taking off from Luton Airport after a change in the weather which was 8/8 and raining. 2. Very close to Aylesbury I get the navigation working so I can sit back and relax, watching the countryside pass by. 3. The Thames can be seen here also Didcot with it's power station on the left and Oxford below the tail. 4. Passing Wantage.
  10. At Cranbourne West, one of the fast growing suburbs on the southern fringe of Melbourne.
  11. I came across this colourful display of Sturt's Desert Peas at Alice Springs Airport.
  12. As you can see Pine Gap Satellite Surveillance Base is not too far from YBAS.
  13. All three countries mentioned in one image. A Texan at French Island in Westernport Bay south of Melbourne!
  14. At Corner Inlet with Wilson's Promontory on the horizon. This is part of the South Gippsland region of Victoria and an important location for wading birds.
  15. The Interstate Bridge at Portland, OR.
  16. I imagine many of us have planes in the darkest corners of our hangars that we have overlooked for a long time. The Aeroplane Heaven B-17 is one of those for me. After a seemingly successful download of a V2 plane into V4 it is off to give it a spin to blow away the dust and cobwebs. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. The flight was from Glacier Park to Fort MacLeod. All went as planned and the installation was a success.
