  1. For the next leg I switched from the Goose to a lighter, faster aircraft, in another beutiful paint by Jankees. To be honest, faced with the weather conditions later on I was not sure if the Legacy was a perfect choice... Entering the Glacier NP area, over Typee Glacier towards Bugaboo Spires: Invermere: Rawson Lake behind me: Fording coal mine... ... followed by Elkford coal mine: Leaving the Rockies to the east, and crossing Hwy 22: Claresholm approach... ... and parked in this beautiful freeware masterpiece by Vlad Maly:
  2. After my Summer holiday it was time to go on with flight simulation. The route took me north from River bend, Washington state: ... then reaching the Columbia River at a short airstrip called "Schmidt": Following the river north to Waneta Dam... ... and the city of Trail, with the Red Mountain Ski area to the west: The next city up the river is Castlegar, which took its name from Castlegar, Galway county in Ireland, the ancestral home of townsite founder Edward Mahon. Maybe we can visit the Galway sister shortly, when ORBX is completing the European Island states?
  3. When heading northeast from Coeur d´Alene, ORBX surprised me with a fun park near Silverwood. Shortly after my daughter told me she had been to this park in reality - that is what I love in the fullterrain experience! Heading further NE, to a fantastic view over Lake Pend Oreille... ... with a short break in Glengary. Then a short turn easterly to Clark Fork river. The valley looks great, with a significant number of small airfields. Should be worth some trips... ... but I headed back before crossing the border to Montana. Clark Fork city just below... ... a

  5. We are rolling through testing so I thought it time to share some more pictures! I was going to try a flight around but I loaded up the weather and the area is covered in fog so I switched it out for some lighter summer weather. Anyway, enjoy these shots of the surroundings of Bonners Ferry
  6. Just a little city tour; some days ago, when the weather was still fine... Fairchild AFB - with this paint (by Jaydor) a touch-and-go was allowed, I suppose... And returning to the city - can you see Felts over there?
  7. This is part 3 of my journey along the Columbia River from Castlegar to Electric City. Leaving Castlegar Trail and Red Mountain Ski Area Near Trail Airport Leaving Canada... ... and entering the United States Junction of Columbia River and Kettle River Junction of Columbia River and Spokane River Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake Grand Coolee Dam Banks Lake and Electric City Steamboat Rock Enjoy and thanks for looking!
  8. This is part 2 of my Columbia River Trip from Revelstoke to Castlegar. And to be honest, following the Columbia River isn't really correct. All the way down from Revelstoke to Castlegar, the Columbia River is dammed up and called Arrow Lake. So the right heading for this topic must be "Following the Arrow Lake". Mt. Begbie short after takeoff from Revelstoke Mt. Begbie (left) and Mt. Cartier (right) Arrow Lake Arrow Lake near Nakusp Nakusp Following the Arrow Lake to Castlegar Hugh Keenleyside Dam Castlegar Castlegar Airport and the j
  9. I decided to do a little anventure and follow the Columbia River from its source near Fairmont Hot Springs in BC to its mouth near Astoria, Oregon. The 1st part took me from Fairmont Hot Springs to Revelstoke with a short break at Golden. And what's the perfect plane for an adventure? A dirty and used looking An-2. 10. With the release of SAK, i was exploring this great scenery and nearly forget my NA Tour. The tour came back in my mind at Easter and today, i had the time to fly the final stage of my tour. 14. Sorry mates, this is going to be a post with many (19) pictures. Have the v key worn out, but the fun was great here... Starting in McCall with Jaydor´s latest delivery: German flight training. What a contrast: starting in a green valley, and as soon as you cross the first mountains to the west, you reach a slightly deserted area (may be Weiser river?): Crossing Oxbow dam, it seems obvious why this river is named Snake river: Following the Snake river northwards. I am sure, when you see this picture you will get the same idea as I got... Yippieyeeeeahh - fligh

  18. I tried to create a panorama of 10 pics which shows more than 360 degree of the Bitterroot Range. After stiching, i edited contrast and image sharpness a bit. I hope you like it and i'm really interested in your sincere opinion. Thanks for looking!
