This is a short flight along some sights out of Felts, ... ... and Spokane River makes already the start looking nice. Downtown, nearly as iconic as Manhattan. Below should be St. Georges School, one of my daughters went there for a semester. Her host family resides in Colbert. Surely a place for a chat and a drink. Heading north, sandwiched between moutains and clouds... ... we reach Newport. THAT is definetively a place for a chat and a drink, isn´t it @BradB?! Sandpoint, with another landclass error f

For this flight out of McCall, Idaho, I needed to take a slightly faster bird. The Pilatus PC-21 looked just right. So I went west to Brownlee Dam... ... and followed Snake River northwards. Across Hells Canyon Dam... ...through some nice corners... ... up to Lewiston. Over the plains... ... to Lower Granite Dam, ... ... and finally to Spokane. Into the obvious airport. Let me see if I find som

A nice late afternoon flight from KSUN to KBZN in the trusty old steed. This particular aircraft was retired from the CP Air fleet in 1974. It was a cloudy start out of Friedman but things cleared up by the time we reached the ski slopes south of Bozeman Short final on the visual approach into 03 at KBZN - a nice short taxi to the ramp. All done for the day - now to head into town for dinner and a brew or two...

Nice when I left... Got a little sinister... Ended up in less than minimums from time to time... And a bonus, because the South American mountain lighting at dusk was pretty cool Mike

Just purchased NRM and took my first flight out of CYLW. I noticed that the taxiways are missing in sections of the airport. It's grass where there should be pavement. It looks like it could be an elevation error perhaps? Any solutions? http://imgur.com/a/fYSse

Hello, I am the 'owner' of CAQ4 in FSE. I live in the house at the beginning of the airstrip. However, my feet are getting very cold and no one wants to come and visit because of the draft. Can you please put my house back on the ground? Thank you.

Hey Guys, I was cruising with 777 over NRM-PNW area with FTX Global/Vector/openLC all set to hybrid and I noticed a huge texture issue. I don't know why after flying from CYYC (Calgary) to CYVR, I originally saw green textures and then all of a sudden sharp snow textures. I assume I entered PNW territory? All are installed with P3Dv3 installers and I have installed the new libraries that were released yesterday. I also have frozen water disabled in vector and in all the 3 Regions - NRM, CRM, and NCA (I am surprised that PNW doesn't have any options to conf

Just a simple fun journey back into the Canadian Rockies. Apologies to my Northern friends for totally botching about half the geographical references. No apologies, though, for the circling arrival to cap it all off. Best, Marshall

Climbing out of Spokane, just leaving Colbert behind... ... and to the place where Spokane river meets the mighty Columbia: Not easy to miss if you fly IFR: The Grand Coulee Dam... ... and Steamboat Rock. Looks like there are some farmers working around Ephrata and Moses Lake... ... with sufficient water, at least at Wanapum Dam: But shortly later one gets to the "most polluted place of the US": Hanford facilities. Good & interesting reading, both scientific and political: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanford_Site Sometimes we simmers may visit places we would no

It looked so sunny when we started in Kamloops... ... and the view from Mara´s Lookout should also be fine (you can spot the hut at the end of the road under the DC-3). But Three Valley Gap looked already suspicious, ... ... and the city of Revelstoke was already hidden. This is the moment, when a usual flight would come to a go-around... ... but the common simmer goes a bit further ! At least I saw the runway... But with 3 approaches it was impossible to land. So I had to divert to a place with instrument supported landing, in fact the most suited one
