  1. Many thanks to Brad for letting me know that the Justflight Fokker Friendship now has a P3DV3.0 installer. A quick flight from Mackay Qld before going out and all seems to work very well. Anyone who has been close to Dart engines will know what the title refers to! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
  2. I am now able to enjoy the OZx scenery fully. Used it in P2Dv2.4 but there was plenty of missing detail. Just FTX AU, OZx with Ant's sceneries and many of those aircraft that I cannot use in P3D. 1. Tyagarah in NSW with the A2A Cherokee. Must keep mooooving! 2. Lake Argyle Diamond Mine and the A2A C172. 3. Struggling out of Red Cliff with the Duke. 4. Ant's Ballina and his excellent Tiger Moth. 5. Ballina again but with the superb SOH Invader re engined with the TW sound set. 6. Carlton Hill on the way to Wyndham WA. 7. WA and the Invader again beating up FTX f
  3. Been a day of downloading and installing programmes with new P3DV3.0 installers. Firstly overnight downloaded Wales and Scotland and installed them this morning. Then after lunch discovered on the Justflight site some of the planes I have are now V3.0 compliant. Then to top it off the 2 FlyTampa airports I have now can be used with V3. 1. Leaving YSSY with a huge smile on my face. Could not use this on V2.4 single figure FPS even with most of the goodies left off but now great performance with everything ticked. 2. 3.   5. Funny that when you are looking for one thing you discover something else. Did a flight in FSX from Hamilton to Portland in Victoria and did not like the FSX rain. So opened PrecipitFX to see if it would install into FSX and there along with FSX SE, FSX, P3Dv2.4 is P3Dv3.0. Some of you may be aware of this but it was a nice discovery for me. Also welcome to Holgermesh in both AU and PNG for V3.0. Many thanks for those responsible for this.   7. Been adding a few old favourites to FSX and giving them a try out. Really enjoying flying around Australia again after a long absence. 1. The amazing Douglas Globemaster climbs out of Darwin. Ok so the cockpit is really dated FS wise but still a plane I enjoy flying. 2. The Milviz Cessna 310 is another sorely missed aircraft here out of Tamworth. 3. One of my all time favourite freeware aircraft is the Grumman Tracker. Here on a flight from Townsville to Bowen. 4. The Lockheed Harpoon is a new one for me.   8. Well it has been an interesting afternoon. Decided to reinstall FSX on Drive C and use it just for Australia. I will add the OZx airports and use the planes that I cannot fly on P3D, which will also include many freeware favourites. All has gone well so far and I am very happy with the performance. 1 Been missing the Real Air Duke, on of the best planes out there is the piston Duke. 2.   9. First flight in Australia in V3.0. Only right I start off from my home town of Shepparton. Just a quick flight as it's bed time very soon. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. The download of England is nearly finished but will have to wait until tomorrow to have a flight in V3.0

  11. A question here that only the keenest aviation historian would know the answer to. Where is Australias first international airport located? 1. It is not Brisbane 2. Broome is on the west coast and in the direction of Europe but it is not the one. 3. Cairns would be one of the closest Australian towns flying from the States but not here. 4.   12. Brought a few dud add ons recently (and some real ripppers) BUT one of the non FTX products that is stands out is the Carenado Navajo. Along with the A2A Comanche I have been clocking up a lot of hours in it. The latest flight this afternoon was from Townsville to Bowen. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Highly enjoyable flight with the AP on and watching the fantastic ORBX and OZx scenery go by. If you are looking for a great GA twin that is a joy to fly then look no further than the Carenado PA-31.
  13. ....is the Lord Mayor's Show. Following last weeks debacle with the CLS DC-10 I decided not to buy any more expensive aircraft from dubious sources. Being weak I saw the Captain Sim Boeing 727 and while doing some research on the CS site I came across the 777 which is also P3D compatible. Spent a while looking at reviews and the like and was happy enough to buy it. So installed it and had a quick flight before dinner from Ant's YBBN which is not too FPS heavy. The engines were already running so I pressed a few buttons, flicked a few switches, rolled a few wheels that I know
  14. Very happy tonight to see FSS has the CLS 747-2/300 for sale. Good to see this aircraft in P3D at last. Also good to see the F-Lite version for us GA fliers but still a lot of buttons and switches to figure out. A short first look departing Cairns. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

  16. While we on P3D are waiting patiently for the triple installer there is an excellent freeware YBBN available from the Ant's Aeroplane website for those who don't realise it. As with all his other products this is truly excellent.   21. Learning to fly between NDBs and VORs. Great fun trying to keep all the needles lined up and dialing in the next frequency. This flight was of 140 miles from Mangalore via Shepparton-SSQ, Strathbogie-SBG and Eildon-ELW and to Mangalore-MNG. 1. Lake Eildon 2. Passing ELW and turning for Mangalore. 3. Arriving back at Mangalore.
  22. Slowly reinstalling my P3D after REX Soft Clouds wiped the whole lot of my computer. Re installed all FTX regions and utilities, including bloody soft clouds which still needed some manipulation to make it work. One test shot to see how it is going, must not forget Precipitfx. 1. Now onto Global, Vector and Pilot Mesh.
  23. Just added a favourite of mine to FSX and given it a short flight to see if all is ok. 1. 2. 3. All seems good at this time but I will have a closer look later with a longer flight. Now all I have to do is try and remember how to operate everything!
  24. A few shots from the week ends flying so far. Despite my plans being thrown into disarray yesterday morning with an unexpected 4 1/2 hour trip to Melbourne and back I have managed to get some great flying time in. Still some more time today but there will be disruptions again this afternoon. 1. Flying from Amori, Honshu Japan. 2. 3. No need to tell anyone where this is. This week ends purchase. 4.   25. I have not done many flights in Western Australia. Decided to fly from Busselton to Jandakot in the plane of the moment, the Dash 8. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. Never flown along the coast here but there is some very interesting scenery along the way. No time to give a detailed description of each shot as I want to fly before bed time.
