  1. A few shots taken at Gansner and Blue Canyon airports. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  2. The last leg of my trip around the Blue Canyon pack. A change of planes too with the old Chipmunk giving way to the not quite as old Piper Saratoga. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13.
  3. After having great difficulty getting into Limberlost it was time to fly onto Gansner. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14.
  4. Having landed at Limberlost it is now time to attempt the take off. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. A nice bump and then a ramp at the end assisted beautifully, but I don't think the u/c would take it in RL.
  5. I can remember in the early 70s seeing the Ski Jump ramp appear that was used to launch the Harrier Jump Jet into the air. The strip at Limberlost applies this principle in reverse. 1.   6. The Lone Ranger is on a special mission in the Wild West with an important delivery of silver bullets. With his trusty steed Silver, he should be alright or is he? 1.   7. After a week of installing and testing programmes I decided to have an evenings flying. Thinking which airport to buy all day at work and finally decided on Blue Canyon. After a quick download and install it is off for a flight to Limberlost. Oh boy am I in for a rude awakening. 1. No time to have a close look at KBLU. First real flight for several days. 2. 3.   8. After arriving at Limberlost and having a fly around it was time to try and land. The first two times I overshot after drifting to the right. The next three times I ended up in the trees. 1. Not happy with the approach and overshot lucky not to stall. 2. Another hopeful approach which ended up with the furry Chipmunks in the trees. 3. Here we go again for the sixth time. 4. Thought I had crashed but on viewing the replay I had pulled back on the stick too much and shot back into the air. 5. I was still lined up so I put her down. 6. Much to my surprise straight
  9. Just noticed the latest offering is on sale, KBLU Blue Canyon. Not enough time during the week to buy this one, so maybe at the week end. Besides I am still busy doing the P3D re install so that is being given priority form the next few nights with some time to try out what has been installed. Yesterday I discovered the LHC Fairchild 24 which I had not used for ages. Also I saw that OZx would work in P3D so I installed their migration tool and the Grand Canyon. Did not look good at first but then realised I had not updated the scenery library, what a transformation. A flight from K

  11. The P3D reinstall continues with OLC Europe being added along with a few aircraft. I cannot believe how much stuff I have brought over the last few years and how much does not get enough use. So I went first to Muhlhausen in Germany and the last 3 shots are from Myran Sweeden. Just pin in the map choices to see how things are working. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11.
  12. Learning to fly between NDBs and VORs. Great fun trying to keep all the needles lined up and dialing in the next frequency. This flight was of 140 miles from Mangalore via Shepparton-SSQ, Strathbogie-SBG and Eildon-ELW and to Mangalore-MNG. 1. Lake Eildon 2. Passing ELW and turning for Mangalore. 3. Arriving back at Mangalore.
  13. Slowly reinstalling my P3D after REX Soft Clouds wiped the whole lot of my computer. Re installed all FTX regions and utilities, including bloody soft clouds which still needed some manipulation to make it work. One test shot to see how it is going, must not forget Precipitfx. 1. Now onto Global, Vector and Pilot Mesh.
  14. A big set of shots for my first flight after the reinstall. Bodo looked like a good departure point and after insulting the map I found a VOR beacon at Avinor Air Station at Evenesmarka to aim for. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17.
  15. The sales are on and one aircraft that really caught my eye was the Flysimware Cessna 441 Conquest. Had a look at the start up video and then was time to taxi to the runway and take off, wiping out a few aircraft on the way. I must watch the next video in the series soon to see how to move this plane without devastating the other occupants on the ramp. Took off and it goes like the proverbial powers.   16. Norway has installed properly so a quick look at the UK and Ireland. Also trying out some Carenado planes I have installed. 1. Belfast Northern Ireland 2. Edinburgh Scotland. 3. Cork Ireland 4. Cardiff Wales 5. Bristol England. All running and flying well. Das ist gut
  17. My other acquisition this week was the Chipmunk. Thought it would be a good idea to give it a flight from KSEZ before (even thought it is way after) my bedtime. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  18. You could say I am getting my "Just Desserts" for not joining the KSEZ club. That is all there is to see in this set, just desert. Quite impressive considering it is Global Base and Pilots Mesh 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  19. Brought a few more Asian airports in a sale last week and very pleased to see they work in both FSX and P3D. Paro, Bhutan is reputed to be the most difficult commercial airport in the world to land at. Because of will be taking off and heading south,. As there are no Dash 8s registered in Bhutan, Medavia of Malta provided me with one of their Dash 8s to fly in. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  20. After leaving Monument Valley and crossing some Arizona Desert the flight finally arrives at it's destination which is Sedona. Liked this airport in its Global freeware form but at a first glance this looks unbelievably good. Plenty to explore both within the airport and it's surrounds over the Easter week end.   21. Where else would one be flying today? Monument Valley of course. A Dash 8 departure with a low level pass of the monoliths before climbing away and heading south. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  22. A very quick flight and glance at some magnificent ORBX scenery before shut eye. Squamish is the location and no surprise with the Dash8 providing the ride. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
  23. Have not been to Taiwan for a long time so Uni Air provide the transport for a short flight over the mountains from west to east. I did remark when the Dash 8 was released 2 weeks ago about the lack of B- registered examples. I have looked at the production lists and found out the reason. There are not many Dash 8s in China and Taiwan at all. 1. Leaving RCKU at Chiayi, showing how great Global Base and Vector is. 2. Active Sky Next in live mode provides the final touch as we climb over Chiayi 3. Some spectacular roads and a tunnel but I have forgotten where this was taken.
  24. Adam ticked me off for forgetting about my Captain Sim C-130 which was languishing forlornly in the darkest corner of Hangar 2.   25. Well found a way of ditching the Dash 8 for today anyway. Will be back in it tomorrow for some longer flights. Been thinking about Monument Valley all day at work so late in the evening I have purchased and installed it then gone for a quick flight before making some zzz's. First impressions are what an amazing piece of scenery. Three shots at different times of day with Sentinal Mesa as the backdrop. 1. Dawn 2. Day 3. Dusk More exploration tomorrow.
