From England, now I travel to Washington to look for cityscapes of this precious lovely small town, Eatonville. During these hard COVID times - in which I can't practice real photography -, I am enjoying very much this virtual photographic adventures on XP11 and P3D. As in real life, you need to think about angles, composition, framing, lines, perspectives, light and colors, lenses (wide, normal, telephoto) etc etc. These photographic techniques and challenges are all present in virtual photography.

This swan is singing a happy tune...what a runway...too much fun!! Great performance at this field. Calm conditions made me eat up that runway- I could have come in a tad slower but not a foot lower! What a blast to have all that gorgeous grass and detail fly by as you float down that runway...remarkable with a great aircraft like the Archer...feeling the ground effect in the flare...it is superb. Once she's stuck down and the flaps are up look around and soak up all the eye candy... wow. Remember how it goes? ...aviate, navigate, salivate!

Part 5 - Swanson (2W3) to Squamish (CYSE) - The weather wasn't the best, but better than the last leg. As you'll see, I had to commandeer a new Jug as I pranged the prop upon landing at Swanson last time. This was a pretty straightforward flight until I got vectored for the approach at Squamish...in the mountains, covered in clouds, with some real gusty winds! I put her down in one piece, but I'm sure the mechanic is waiting to scream at me about the struts that I fully compressed.

Starting the day at Swanson (2W3) is a pleasure in itself. Then add a trip to those mountains and a tricky approach into Swanson (at least for me, I am not a pro - and that Lancair is a fast little plane). Perfect morning, this one . And by the way: Thank you very much for all those friendly comments on my previous posts! Reaching Mt. Rainier... ...and Mt. Adams: Coming home: Missed the first one and had to do it again... The second worked out fine - but it was quite exciting for me...
