  1. This is awesome! At leas i am more than willing to pay a higher cost for an even better TE experience.
  2. There was a topic stating that source material better than ZL 17 would be too expensive to acquire. The blurriness is not due to it "only" beeing ZL17 which i think is more than enough for VFR but the image compression to keep distributing costs low and i would love to see a (paid?) option to get the images uncompressed before conversion. I can understand that ORBX has to have a look on their traffic consumption, but uncompressed pictures could make it look so more realistic (there are some parts in TE GB and WA where you don't notice the compression and they look even better). I would al
  3. Sorry, maybe i missused the term washed out, corrected my first post. I meant it looks kind of blurry like a lower resolution picture than it actually is.
  4. Hello John, you mentioned high compression for the source image as part of the delivery system. Is there a comparison between the compressed and uncompressed image? I noticed some more blurry images (like a lower resolution image on a bigger canvas) in suburbs while flying low on TE Washington and i guess this is just because of a compressed source image since otherwise the product is perfect. Did you consider offering a paid upgrade for the uncompressed images to accommodate the additional traffic costs? Having the more crisp feeling you normally get with ZL17 as
  5. There is a mistake in you first post. Global Earth is not made by SFD. The product "Global Earth" is made by a company called "Resentium" which is fairly unknown. SFD on the other hand has a good reputation (e.g. EDDM) and did not release their product yet. They also try to develop a Texture replacement product but with custom autogen for various regions which looks promising. I hope ORBX will reveal some previews soon as i have a feeling that it will be at least on par or superior to the SFD version.
  6. Any comment on the size per tile compared to TEGB (especially HD)? Already searching for a bigger SSD to be able to download on day 1.
  7. I tried to investigate the issue further: P3D does use one core around 100% the rest around 50% so that seems to be fine. The graphics card idles around 40% load, VRAM not even half full. IO Ops not even near maximum. Indeed pausing and using slew mode results in loading the higher res textures but it takes up to 30s without a significant increase in CPU/GPU usage
  8. Thanks for the fast answer, Yep the ORBX Libraries are installed. Is it enough to just install them via FTX Central or do i have to edit some config manually (like e.g. with GB TE in X-Plane where the order in the scenery cfg is important)? For the screenshots: I know they are bad, i tried the print key and it resulted in a black image and only after taking them i looked up the screenshot shortcut for P3D, won't happen again
  9. Hi, i have a big problem with blurry textures in P3D (yes i know the topic has been discussed times and times but i havn't found a solution that works for me :/ ) I have to state that i'm a long term XP user and just recently got P3D for the QW787 and MJCQ400 so my understanding of the simulator and the workflows may make me look really dumb. Yesterday i did a clean install of P3D v4.4 with the following addons: Orbx Base Pack , Vector, openLC NA Envshade, Envtex Active sky Chaseplane Up to now i did no tweaking at all. My syste
