  1. I am am enjoying the wonders on TE but have a quick question I have TE Central and Xplane loaded onto a M.2 drive and TE south loaded on a slow spindle drive. I normally from EGNT (Newcastle) When I start from EGNT does anything load-up from TE south? I might be better off removing TE south to improve my loading time?? Thanks for any info PS or will Santa bring me a 1tb M.2 drive
  2. Hi thanks for the reply, No it's not the sensitivity, its the mapping. On the Oculus some keys / sticks are reserved. Anyway I will spend more time trying to configure it up as we now know the "wheel" has not been invented. Thanks again, regards Dave
  3. OK I have had good information from this site before so will give this thread a try. So, I fly in VR only, with a Oculus I am looking to get into Helicopters. It's not easy to control the collective, I have been trying to map the collective to the oculus controller (small joystick ... UP/DOWN) No had any success & have search the net for any Oculus Rift joysick profiles do do this It's bugging me, have a missed a simple fix for this or does everyone have the same issue??? Thanks for any help or link. Dave
  4. Hi Tony, Its gone now!!! It was a road above water on stilts Please note I am using 11.30 b7 and I have other stuff in my scenery lib, so might have been from one of the other files? I was as shown in this screen grab "red line" Most odd, I will keep an eye out for it Thanks for the reply
  5. Hi Nick, Looks like your a local lad? TE Central is splendid however have a look just up stream from the Hull Bridge. I can see a very long road crossing the river, does that exist? Just been on google earth and no road showing at that point. Might be an error? Sorry should have taken a screen grab, to busy enjoying the scenery. Had a big look about today in the Hark, wow you guys did a great job over in the Lakes. Dave

  12. Any news on TE Central John? PS glad you got the servers sorted out yesterday
  13. Yes I have same problem connecting from the UK However a connection from Sydney is working without any problems. Network routing or DNS problem I think.
  14. If you have a VPN client you might consider using that as a workaround. IE log into your VPN and try downloading from a different location. Worth a try?
  15. Well the site is ok, must be a problem with the Goodwood Scenery. Think we are in the hands of Orbx with this one???
  16. Just downloaded 2 of the demo airports for xplane without any problems. Dave
  17. I am always in the forums to check for updates on TE Central updates I am amazed that the forum updates look to run 24/7 I know Orbx are across the other side of the world from the UK but I see updates from staff in the UK at very odd times through the night. Do you guys ever get any sleep? Hoping the "Server" problems dont scupper the TE Central release. Dave
  18. Hi thanks for the reply. I did move TE south onto my slow spindle drive and it was very slow to load, 2 or 3 times the speed. (sorry did not bench mark it) So I moved TE south back onto the M.2 drive and was back to normal. Dont think the 1tb spindle drive is a 7.5k drive so that might be the bottle neck. Will have to get a 1tb SSD or a 10k / 15k spindle installed? Seasons greetings and all the very best to you and yours. Dave
  19. Been thinking about TE Central (haven't we all) My storage setup is c: M.2 drive with OS (windows 10) d: M.2 drive with Xplane and TE south installed (this drive is just about full) d: 1tb spindle drive with free space My question is if I move TE south to the slower spindle drive and load TE central on the fast d: M.2 drive will the loading time be slowed down when I load up the sim. My local airport is EGNT Newcastle, so I will be starting up from that location. I would expect the loading time to be slow if I start up in any area in the
