  1. That seems to be a reported Enhanced Atmospherics (beta) issue. It should disappear with EA turned off. As will the more realistic haze unfortunately.
  2. I hope developers will start embracing this possibility, there are already ample candidates within the present Orbx product range: Ålesund, Bristol, Burbank, Dubrovnik, Pula, to name a few. With v5's update to the default airport library, there is less of a need to purchase add-on scenery for an airport that doesn't exist in the sim. I've migrated what I can for free from v4, as airports are updated, but I'm wondering whether or not I should be spending any more money on airports if their aeronautical components are up to date in v5 (plus fsaerodata). 3. Ni Nick, Thanks, all I had to go on was the update to 4.1.11 and the sudden unusual behaviour. I always run as admin. After 2 reinstallations it seems to have settled down. I don't know what else could've caused it, but I suppose there'd be many more issues in the forum if it was Central related, seems my setup didn't like something about the update. All sorted, thanks again.
  4. Hi Doug, I have, but the Insertion Point setting reverts to Top of Library when I next open Central. Can Central be updated to stop this automatic insertion point reversion please?
  5. Hello, My Orbx Central was updated to 4.1.11 yesterday and now, instead of opening directly to either P3Dv4 or P3Dv5, it stops at the selection screen. Fair enough, but then it takes another while before it loads after selecting. I find the previous autoload and switch if necessary better. What is causing a headache though is the fact that every time I open Central, the insertion point for both sims reverts to Top of Library. Why is this even an option when every response on this forum is for Orbx items to be below other 3rd party scenery? Can Central be upd
  6. I had the same issue and solved it by uninstalling both, then reinstalling OpenLC Africa followed by the Mesh and Photoreal. The new installation of OpenLC Africa no longer included those files which are now in the Freeware pack. See the following thread for more: Simpy updating did not remove the duplicate files.
  7. No worries, thanks Nick, it was just an additional bit of confusion. I'm glad I'm at 7GB less than before the reinstall anyway (per sim).
  8. OLC Africa only, if that is what you mean by whole product, yes, and I have 20.1GB under "space on disk". Central promises 11GB download, 8GB installed.
  9. Hi again Nick, I've now reinstalled OLC Africa for v5 and there is no mesh, so far so good. However, I have a folder over 20GB, where Central says 11GB downloaded for an 8GB installation. Could this be updated, unless of course something is going wrong here?
  10. I'm trying to get rid of the duplicated 3GB of mesh data in both packages....so I'm hoping that the mesh will now only be installed once with the freeware package.
  11. I updated, there was no information to the contrary in the update notification. I'll uninstall and reinstall for both v4 and v5, thanks!
  12. It seems to be a P3D issue, there's a post on the LM forum about it: https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=216963#p216963 One can rename/delete the hazards.bgl file to remove them. They represent a (global?) obstacle database. The problem is one has all of these towers up into the sky, which grow shorter the closer you get to them. A handy feature for aviation safety I suppose, but we're not there yet If they don't shrink as you approach them, they're probably really that high and can be compared with VFR charts.
  13. I have the OLC Africa update and it didn't remove the mesh. Do you really not have an Orbx Library\p3dv5\Global openLC Africa\Orbx\FTX_OLC\OLC_AF_mesh folder?
