  1. Thanks but that's the Isle of Wight ferry. Info about the Gosport Ferry here: https://www.gosportferry.co.uk/
  2. Fabulous Great views of Donkey Popyard (Portsmouth Dockyard) & HMS Queen Elizabeth. I'm hoping that the Gosport Ferry will be visible too
  3. I've noticed that using ORBXlibs dramatically increases load times (I've compared load times of with all UK scenery activated with and without Orbx libraries and the difference is huge (typically a couple of minutes vs more than 1 hour). Obviously using ORBX sceneries lacking ORBX libraries is not great, but I am wondering why the libraries make such a difference to load times. This did not happen in P3DV3 or earlier.
  4. This looks awesome and potentially has much to offer for the future of flight simulation. Understand what’s happening on the ground in areas you care about with real-time, global, high resolution imagery. https://www.planet.com/
  5. Hi try these: http://return.mistymoorings.com/scenery/ http://www.return.mistymoorings.com/object_libraries_build/
  6. This is also a good source of free training http://training.flyaoamedia.com/ and if you want some more free training http://pilotworkshop.com/

  9. The Killing Zone is good, also recommend Fate is the Hunter by Ernest Gann & Wings on My Sleeve by Eric "Winkle" Brown. Both are fabulous books covering the earlier years of Aviation and certainly made me sweat with fear a few times.
  10. Very interesting. During the Cold War, I used to serve on UK ballistic missile submarines and we also used QRA. I'm guessing that this must have been inherited from the V bombers that provided the UKs deterrent before the RN. Our launch drills with various problems thrown in were endlessly practiced on simulators and we also used checklists etc
  11. Had the same issue. I bought something and got a receipt from Paypal but no confirmation from FSS and the file was locked pending confirmation of payment. This was on 7/10/15. I sent FSS an email asking them to release the product and received an automatic response (fair enough I thought "this is due to th time difference between UK & Oz"). The following day, I still had had no reply to my email and although I could see the product in my order history I couldn't log into my account. Since then the order has disappeared from my order history and there is no record of the transaction (other than my email from PayPal), I'ver askedFSS to refund my money and cancel the order, but have had no reply from them. I can get into my account and download previous purchses but this is the second time in the last month that I have had an issue with file was locked pending confirmation of payment message although the previous time they sorted it out quickly. The whole experience has made me wonder if anyone is running things at FSS. I'm not buying anything else from them until I receive a refund and confirmation that all is well with the company.
  12. The Battle of Britain in a Spitfire. "..Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few,.."
