  1. Thanks John - so I take it from your answer that there will be True Earth Southern and Northern California versions released for P3Dv4/5? If that is the case it would not make sense to buy the region scenery that is currently available. Funnily enough the Los Angeles area was the main POI for me so it will be interesting to see how that is covered, and how well it blends with the FSDT LAX scenery.
  2. Hi there, I'm just contemplating purchasing the Orbx California regions (southern), but noticed that there are True Earth editions for both southern and northern California for X-Plane - will Orbx be releasing these for P3D any time soon, or should I take the plunge and buy the existing regional scenery instead? If you could advise that would be great - I don't want to buy this if it's about to be superseded by something more up to date and detailed. Kind regards, selcal77
  3. Hi there, Hope someone can suggest a fix for this (if there is one). When flying to PAKT today I noticed that my aircraft was floating a few cm off the ground when taxiing on the apron area. The same was not the case on the runway. Like many others I had the floating jetway problem which I fixed by applying the suggested fix and removing the three files from the Pacific Fjords folder. That has fixed that error, but this minor floating issue remains. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean. While it's only a small amount, it is very apparent with the shadows enabled. I'd be grateful if someone has a solution to this. I have the following scenery installed which may be a factor here (PAKT is on a layer above the regions) : Orbx Ketchikan Orbx/FTX Global Orbx Pacific Northwest Orbx Southern Alaska Orbx Pacific Fjords I am using P3D v4.5 hotfix 2. Aircraft is PMDG 737NGX (the older one, not the 'U' version) I have GSX V2. Many thanks, selcal77
  4. That's just what I was looking for, thanks Stewart
  5. Hi there, Hoping someone can provide some guidance on this - I can see there are a number of posts about scenery ordering and layers around, but a lot of conflicting information and I'm confused. I had to download and install the new ORBX Central when I bought EGPH recently, and somehow during that process, ORBX Central has automatically moved all of my ORBX scenery up to the top of the scenery library, above my other third party scenery. This has resulted in all sorts of problems in the sim. I am now assuming I need to set an 'insertion point' below all my third party scenery, is that correct? Why has this happened, and why was it necessary for ORBX Central to re-order my scenery library when everything was working fine? I now have all this hassle trying to work out where everything should go in order to display properly, which is quite frustrating. If someone could advise, I'd be really grateful. I'm using P3D v4.5 SP2, and have FTX Global, several of the EU regions, and several ORBX airports installed. I'm assuming Global sits at the bottom, followed by regions above, and then airports at the top. But where does this need to go amongst all my other scenery (default and third party addons)? If someone could please clarify, that would be greatly appreciated, Kind regards, selcal77
  6. Hi Nick, thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my enquiry, which is appreciated. With point 2, I think you may have misunderstood what I was asking there. Of course I would not wish to install two directly competing products for the same location, that would not make sense. Nor would I expect you to list directly competing products in your product description. I was talking specifically about adding detailed airport scenery to complement the city scene products, specifically Barcelona in this case. I own LatinVFR Barcelona which I can see is bad news in this case, as apparently your city scenery isn't compatible with it. There are two other versions of LEBL from different developers, and I was suggesting it would be helpful to be able to see on the product page which of these it would work well with it. I think you would agree that if someone buys a cityscene product, it is very likely they are going to want to pair it with a good quality addon scenery for airports in the vicinity; that's a reasonable thing to do, so I felt it would be helpful to provide a bit of information about which products would work well with it. Apologies if I didn't explain this too well. Thank you again for your response though, it was very helpful. Kind regards, selcal77
  7. I've been using their scenery for years, yes - but not the forums! My bad. I will take a look at the compatibility forum, thank you. My point however was I shouldn't have to dig around in the forums to get this info, it would be helpful to have a summary of it at least on the product page. Appreciate the heads up though, cheers.
  8. Hi there, Hope you don't mind but I wanted to leave a bit of feedback that I hope might be helpful. I've used ORBX's products for many years and they are always superb. What causes me hesitation is that you don't provide enough information on the product pages about how your products work together, and how they work with other dev's sceneries. Two examples of this for me are as follows: 1. The various layers of products you have, which I find very confusing. For example, I have FTX Global and EU England. I'm now considering purchasing True Earth GB South, but I'm confused. Are all three of these sceneries all sitting on top of each other, duplicating each other? And if I buy GB South, does that include any airport scenery that I have to deactivate so it won't interfere with my existing airports? It would be really helpful if you could explain this better in the product pages. 2. Cityscene and airport scenery. I am considering City Scene Barcelona, but am confused as to which airport scenery it will work with. I appreciate it won't work with LatinVFR's version of LEBL, but why is that? And which scenery will it work with? And which files need to be deleted/deactivated? Again, it would help a great deal if you could put a brief statement on the product page about which airport scenery is compatible, and whether there is anything you need to delete/deactivate in each case. I can't speak for others obviously, but I personally would probably spend more money on your website if I understood exactly how to use your sceneries together, or with other developer's scenery. Hope the above will be helpful, and thank you for all the great scenery! Kind regards, Selcal77
  9. Hi there, I've purchased your EGPH scenery today and I have to say it looks absolutely stunning. Particularly enjoying watching the trams come and go, and the detail throughout the airport looks incredible. One minor thing I have noticed, however, is that the big 'EDINBURGH' letters, which stand just outside the entrance to the terminal when you get off the tram, appear to be missing (unless I've missed something). This is a major feature of the airport, and always attracts a lot of tourists - it's also illuminated, which would make for a very cool feature in the scenery. Could I suggest it's added as an update? I've included a picture for reference. Well done though on another fantastic airport! Kind regards, selcal77
  10. Hi there, sorry to chime in but I am also having problems with KSEA as part of the Pacific Northwest package, FSX freezes when approaching the airport. Is this part of the same issue?
