  1. I have had a number of these over the past day ... in v4.5 HF3. The main culprit seems to be the ActiveSky Beta. It will also depend on how complex an aircraft you are using. Reverting to ActiveSky for P3Dv4 has solved my issues.
  2. Thank you Nick, I had read that caution but hadn't realised how widespread the issue would be. v5 is interesting but v4 looks like the better option for the moment.
  3. EU England & EU Scotland *not True Earth (also maybe Wales) It does not matter whether I use the Library .xml method or install directly in the sim, the default P3D buildings show through at all the airports I have tried. Something has definitely changed in v5....because an identical install in v4 works perfectly. I guess the exclusion zones are going to need looking at.
  4. The mesh appears to be available but not the landclass - strange.
  5. While you wait for an official answer - reference the Central User Guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QqebVX8fUFdFtOOEMR1ZULkhhieenQHNopfNY-5_K0Y/edit# Third-party addon organizers (e.g P4AO) Previous versions of Orbx Central conflicted heavily with the use of these types of tools, however 4.0.24 and onwards do work correctly with these tools. This requires that the ‘Legacy Layering’ checkbox in Orbx Central settings under Insertion Point is disabled.
  6. Thank you for the explanation - will stop worrying now.
  7. All other patches show a v2 option checkbox in the Control Panel This is missing for Caloudra - the manual download file only contains only one file APX_YCDR.bgl and no updated config script.
  8. And if you try to "Verify" the product you get a message warning you that you do not own it.
  9. To quote the developer " the P4AO automatically adds layer tags to all scenery components in all the add-on.xml files anyway" That is whether you want them or not ! It also seems to change existing numbers so they run sequentially....this has caught me out a few times. Some of the orbx scenery layers seem to have no layer declared so that they automatically they rise to the top. The grouping function is excellent....but the automatic layering is overly intrusive. Be aware it is set "On" by default.
  10. First Vector AEC is not finding anything to correct at all, be it Orbx airports or 3rd party airports. If I enter an ICAO manually it works fine. Also It does not seem to like RAAS as installed by pmdg and aerosoft airbus. It deletes the R4.CSV file in the P3Dv4 root directory, which produces an error screen when trying to restart P3Dv4. The error is easily repeatable (I maintain a mirror version so for me it was easy to repair)
  11. That screenshot tells me you are using the Lorby-Si Addon Organizer - which means if you have auto-layer enabled it is going to seriously mess up the layers that Orbx have declared in their xml files. Personally I would not try moving anything around for the moment - if it works let it be - even if does look like an awful mess.
  12. Thank you Mitchell - that is exactly the information I was looking for.
  13. Its good guide but doesn't actually answer the question....I shall do some more trial and error testing
  14. OK I what I wrote is not what I meant...my bad. Iinstalling P3D not an issue....what I really meant to ask was what is the best way to reinstall the orbx items. I already have an orbx library....do I just need to back up and then copy back the one orbx folder that exists in the main P3D directory and then run Sync Simulator.
  15. Umm...reinstalling orbx is what I was asking
